Trials in 1.6

I learned some things after watching a stream last night of a few Trial runs on the PTS (I forgot who the streamer was, but thank you for streaming!!).

- The group was able to successfully complete AA, Hel Ra, but I don't think they finished Sanctum.
-The group used the same strategies and builds as on the Live server.
- The group was composed of every class and was about half melee builds, half magicka builds.

Here are some interesting changes to note:
- The bosses seemed to take twice as long or longer to kill. The time to kill will likely decrease significantly once people find the new optimized DPS builds and once people get way more Champion Points.
- Trash mobs took the same amount of time to kill or even quicker than on live. Without the AOE cap, groups will burn through trash super fast now.
- Trials are now based on a point system. You get points for killing bosses and trash mobs. At the end, your point total goes on the leaderboard.

AA
- Storm Atronach: it seems like you have to use the yellow circles now (unless people find a new strat or come up with massive DPS). The group wiped pretty quickly without using the circles.
- Wispmother: died after four rounds of adds. A few people got 1-hit while keeping one add alive each round. This might be due to the fact that everyone has slightly less health now than in the live version.
- The Mage: burn phase starts at 20% instead of 30%. However, the entire fight still took twice as long. It did not seem any more difficult, but there definitely was more ground AOE to avoid.

Hel Ra
- Air Atronach: nothing notable, same strategy still works, but the fight takes twice as long
- Six person minibosses: these have become even more battles of sustainability.
- The Warrior: same stuff, took twice as long, so of course there were more adds that were spawned

So it seems that Trials were not changed too much. However, it might be harder for PUG groups to run because the fights take much longer (which requires more coordination and sustain from everyone). However, once people get 1000 Champion points and have maxed out their characters, I see them smashing through Trials just as easily as on live.

Just read your post from the link you posted in the other thread. Great feedback for sure, and thanks for tuning in btw. Once people get more CP's, it will be much easier.

I haven't yet had the chance to do any of the trials (neither live nor pts) that's why I cannot say anything about the difficulty. But I am interested in the trials as I might be trying to clear them in a few weeks. So thank you for your report.

Even though I call myself somewhat a casual, I would be quite disappointed had the difficulty been lowered with 1.6. It should be a bit tough so you can improve on your char and skills.
