Surge + disintegration on weapon attacks?

Hey all,

New player here.

Just wondering if disintegration talent works with Surge.
Asking because I am a sword using mage and it sounds like a cool combination.

Just wont wanna waste points if it doesnt work ill stick to bound armor:)

No, Surge and its morphs only buff Weapon damage but it is not a Shock damage increase.

Bound Armor isn't a good use of a slot right now, unless just tanking. Boundless Storm is way better and not hard to keep up, plus Boundless Storm WILL cause Disintegrate.

If you use a shock glyph on your sword you will proc disintegrate.

Surge buffs weapon damage and has no correlation to disintegrate, which as mentioned only procs off shock damage.

Desintegration is a bad passive in my opinion.
