What about these essentially PvP useless hard CC skills (Rune Prison, Agony, Petrify) acting like a de-taunt when used on players? Similar to Warhammer Online where you could cast it on a player, they deal less damage to you, but if you attack them the effect breaks...
For example: The Shaman skill "Look over there!"
You Detaunt your target, making them hate you less and causing them to deal 50% less damage to you for 15 seconds. If you attack anyone that you have Detaunted, the effect will immediately end.
50% would be way too strong on multiple targets (not an issue in Warhammer due to cooldowns) so make it only work on one target at a time and maybe lower the percentage a tad? This would make the skills useful in group PvP and 1vX and give players the ability to turn the tide when out-numbered without having ridiculously un-fun chain-CC like we see in other games.
