Best PvE leveling Class 1-50 / VR1+

Hi all!

hope everyone is well!

Just wanted to touch base which class does the community feels gives the best experience 1-50.

Only rule is that you cannot include impulse spam due to the fact that any class any build becomes insane.

You are allowed to post with a destro staff user but it just cannot be impulse spam based.

The reason I ask is that I have been bouncing back and forth between 3 classes and I would like to both share my experiences and receive thoughts and feedback from others as well!

My top 3 experiences so far leveling.

1.) I would have to say for some reason Dual Wield DragonKnight. It feels great being able to run upclose, Talon, Fiery Breath spam mobs to death...and then single target make them bleed / burn to death too...(Unstable flame + Rending Slashes)...and then finally turning into a beast with dragon wings, stomping the crap out of them and then finally giving them a hard knockback CC is just OP in leveling (not good in dolmens I agree standard is a bit better) but overall just strong


2.) Nightblade...for some ungodly reason the DW Nightblade just feels GOOD...and I mean GOOD....it was a sense of Ninja but at the same time like a Samurai...I don't get it don't ask me to explain...stealth spam + concealed weapon speed buff just felt good! - I did feel a little limited and slow sometimes as I had to go cntrl sneak + cloak to get the mega damage off (im not a big guy into sneaking however I like stealth)....I rank this class 2nd place because if I didn't need to sneak to get the maximum benefit from the class - I would main Nightblade for sure....

3.) Templar. So the Templar was a great class - it felt like "Matthew" - a big strong tank - Heavy armor + a few light pieces...the crusader type of person...Knight Templar....but the problem is endgame - I just was upset overall because really you need to be a healer as a Templar (or sometimes tank)....I couldn't really Dual Wield as that is my preference weapon choice as the Synergy wasn't necessarily there...2H was a little different but still wonky to me.

DK. At least when I leveled mine back in May it was ridiculously easy and powerful. Also, for AOE grinding mobs, DK class skills have the best synergy.

However, leveling my templar now and at VR7 while it's never felt 'solo any world boss' easy like with my DK, it's been very fun and solid so far. Stamina 2hand/Bow templar is really powerful, as is a magicka-based blazing shield focused build.

DK is super easy and fast, Green Dragon Blood + Shield Abilities (class or weapon) make you pretty stalwart. You can even wipe the Group Delves and Bosses solo at level. Quest bosses are cake walk. I have rarely died while leveling my DK, even when accidentally pulling 1-2 extra groups of mobs.

IMO NB was pretty slow (I have a VR14) unless you stick with specific builds. Some of the quest bosses can be difficult and take a couple of tries, but not impossible.

The issue is taking on large groups without lots of AoE or Shields+Heals. If you want... you can level up Restoration Staff and/or Destruction staff and speed things up. Sap Essense + Impulse on Destro bar and healing on Resto bar.

Or.. Sap Essence + Whirlwind (I like Steel Tornado morph).

Unfortunately, I didn't figure out a lot of these combos early on, which slowed things down for me.

My experience with Sorcerer has been that Pets + AoE makes leveling pretty easy. I guess pets are getting a buff in 1.6 so it might be easier.
