sorc and attribute points

I spent all my attribute points in magica on my new low lvl sorc, and now that I read about different builds, on forums and guildmasters corner, I see alot of ppl spending most or all of their points in health, and go for all magica gear, and now Im confused lol, do you get more health per point in health then in magica? or whats the reason to go all health as a caster, rather then spending it in magica, and having magica/health gear?

If you play PvE only you can spend all to magika and have "glass cannon" build. With defenite playstyle it can be quite viable but there can be some problems for soloing bosses which other builds can solo easily. Glass cannon in PvP is not as efficient as ballanced builds (but as for me i don't think that DPS oriented build should put all to HP, I think that 3/2 or 2/1 m/h proportion is better ).

It is a simple matter of math. You get more Health per point spent than Magicka; the same is not true for enchantments. With proper gear you are easily capable to reach the Magicka soft cap, going any further would be even less efficient for a sorcerer.

So in other words, the best thing for me to do is spend the points in health, and go all magica gear until I hit the caps, and then get health gear if needed.. Il do that then, and maby I survive a bit longer too:P

And armor health enchantmets gives more points then magika enchantmets. So there's no difference.

The stats disparity is the same on Gear Enchants and Stat points. (or 1 = 3/2 Health = 2/2 Stamina = 2/2 Magicka)

Except for jewelry, where the ratio is the same no matter which stat you are using. ( or 1 = Health = Stamina = Magicka)

So if you want to get the best out of stats, just choose jewerly that doesn't buff you with health and you will always have the best stat disparity on your character.

Now, if you switch between a stamina spec and magicka spec it can be interesting to invest all your points into health since you won't have to respecialise your attribute distribution to get appropriated results. You can just switch between gear that focus only on stamina and magicka and always stay up to par without having to spend unnecessary gold.

While leveling my Sorc, I chose:
    • 50/50 split health/magicka.
    • Three pieces, green, infused with magicka enchants on main pieces (chest, head & legs.)
    • Green Divines on the rest with health enchants (shoulders, waist, hands & feet.)
    • The Mage Mundus Stone.
    • Resto Staff.
