What about Sparks?

So they are changing blinding light because they found it to powerful so made it not effect a ton of stuff. What about the dual wield skill sparks? If you don't know or skipped over it the effect is you will not be hit for 4 seconds and with one morph gives 10 points to the next attack. I find it very useful on my dual wield dps it is lovely to see an enemy load up for a big attack only to whiff on the swing. I am afraid though that if a 50% chance to miss is overpowered where does that put a skill that if properly used can greatly minimize damage taken.

Sparks is not an OP skill, and anyone that complains about sparks has no idea what they are talking about.

    1. All it can cause is a miss, and it only affects melee abilties/weapons; it is utterly useless against ranged users.
    2. It only lasts 4 seconds, meaning you have to constantly use it(not exactly spam it, but you do have to use it a lot) if you want it to be effective.
    3. It does not directly damage your target. One of the morphs does, but that morph takes the miss chance down from 100% to 40% or something along those lines.

I myself am sure sparks will remain mostly the same. Its's not OP in the slightest, and i have not seen very many people complain about it(in fact, i have only seen one person complain about it; but he was a talons spammer, so he had no right to complain about it to begin with)

yeah the 4 second thing and also that it uses alot of stamina to cast it repeatedly is what keeps it almost useless and Way underpowered. i tried working it into my build for a while but eventually just let it go realizing that 80% of your fights are going to be against magicka users which make it useless.

on the pve side tho, against certain bosses it's a perfect fit and great help in protection. :)

I can go toe to toe with just about any build save ranged builds, DK talon spammers(where is that immunity timer ZOS... still waiting...) templars that outlast me, sorcerers that keep me perma stunned with BE, and templars that do some kind of abiltiy that forces me to get stunned every time i attack them.

I can still do relatively well; i do wish talons had an immunity timer though:(

Sparks / Ember Explosion is basically in the same boat as Blinding Flash. It wont work on anything you really need it for, but it's too powerful in some other situations.

I would not be at all opposed to having it replaced with something more befitting the dual wield tree. Some kind of basic, up-front-damage instant attack would be nice, as currently we're relying on twin strikes (which is DoT based) and rapid strikes (which is a channeled attack) for our single target damage filler.

Or, even better yet, what about a damage boosting ability? Something like this:

    Sharpened Blades
Increases your weapon damage by X for 20 seconds.

    Morph 1: Rending Blades
Increases your weapon damage by X for 20 seconds. For the duration, your light and heavy attacks cause the target to bleed for X damage over 6 seconds.

    Morph 2: Poisoned Blades
Increases your weapon damage by X for 20 seconds. For the duration, your light and heavy attacks poison the target, reducing healing taken.
    PS4 / NA
    M'asad - Khajiit Nightblade - Healer
Pakhet - Khajiit Dragonknight - Tank
Raksha - Khajiit Sorcerer - Stamina DPS
Bastet - Khajiit Templar - Healer
Leonin - Khajiit Warden - Tank

True it has minimal use against range attacks which is why I always try to close and kill them as fast as possible. I agree that it isn't overpowered but I didn't think blinding flash was either but I guess it bother people to miss attacks.
It does take a bit of stamina which means I use it sparingly generally that is if I see a melee loading up for a skill strike.
While your idea to make it damage base is interesting, one of the morphs does give a attack increase but only for one attack. To me it is the dual wield version of bash as you can use it to mitigate damage.
