Which gives more IP when deconstructed: Crafted, or Intricate? [Answered (By me)]

I'm wondering if I should upgrade intricate items to green before sending them to alts for deconstruction, or if crafted items give more IP anyway.

Of course I could test this myself, but I don't have any intricate items right now and if someone already knows the answer, that'd save me some time.

EDIT:

I got an intricate item to test this with today. Below are the results:

[Quicksilver Gauntlets]

Crafted (Normal): 3455 IP
Crafted (Green): 3504 IP
Intricate (280%): 4104 IP
Intricate (285%): 4158 IP

This means two things:
1. Intricate gives more IP than crafted
2. Improving items just to gain more IP from deconstruction is not worth it, whether the items are intricate or crafted.

I could have sworn at some point in the past green crafted items gave around 2.5x more IP than white ones. Or was that just glyphs?

I assume these ratios are identical for Clothing and Woodworking.

I've never upgraded intricates, but I have had a few drops that have been green intricates, there is more XP than white ones, but not enough to justify using Tempers for it (unless you have a real glut of green tempers).

Crafted items I think give more XP, but it's hard to be sure because the ones I deconstructed were blues, and I don't recall any blue Intricates.

They have introduced 280% inspiration white gear. It gives amazing inspiration. I did not occur to me to improve it. If it works like every other improvement you might get a craft level off of a purple one...

I looked at the increases for a Dwarven Dagger this evening. Base was 280%, Green was 285%, Blue was 290%.

That suggests gold should top out at about 300%?

I am not sure if IP gain is linear though. Whether, for a green item, the IP is 285% of a white item, or 285% of a green one. I will test and see... when I have the right items.

I got very similar results for Clothing, I didn't read the numbers, but the difference on the bar was neglible.

I know, I was meaning like accept someone else's comment so that you could call it the answer and clear this off the unanswered list, but I've never asked a question so I don't know if it works like that

Interesting. Does that give the same bonus as deconstructing another player's gear?

Done that, useful for raising crafting XP of both alts, and helps get rid of an excess of materials (like when I had more Orichalc ingots than was worth storing).

It helps if you recraft the items (knifes is mathematicall best) with the alt who deconstructed them, and send the new items back. That way you can really rack up the xp quickly on both alts (which is handy if you are using them to get the ore from hirelings).
