Rally - 2H skill

Ok, so we all know this skill is DA BOMB now. The heals are great.

But how exactly does it work? Tooltip says instead of waiting i can start it again and get the heal right away instead....

So...?

If i leave it, the LONGER i leave it before hitting it the second time, i get a bigger heal. Got it. That part is cool.

but if i leave it all the way? It just doesn't have any bonus heal at the end?

what's the max/min people get from waiting anywhere from 0-20 seconds?

other thoughts?

It heals for close to 700 at the end, so yea, it's worth it.

Yeah, 700-800 noncrits are pretty regular for letting it naturally expire at the end of its duration if you've got a decent stamina pool and weapon damage. I get a few scant 1200-1300 crits every once in awhile.

And that answers your question that it can crit. It scales off of stamina and weapon power as well as weapon crit, so with my 50ish% crit (depending on state of home campaign) its critting all the time.

However I feel we can't ignore the minimum heal you'd get as well, which is pitiful, but exists. If I refresh it near immediately, I'll get around 150 non crit.

Waiting 15 seconds brings that up to around 400, waiting the full 30 will get me up in the 700s, sometimes early 800s, all non crit.

So spamming it is something, but not very effective. I like to wait at least 10-15 seconds before reactivating it, will blow other defensives to last long enough to get to that point in PvP.

Unfortunately there's still a bug as well.

If it runs out while on horse it dismounts you. Very annoying in PvP.

In stealth it always crits and you get your racial stealth+skill line bonus if you have one.

It always crits to a lot of different things too....like casting particular skills will proc rally to insta crit heal every tick.

I've also noticed Rally autocritting under certain circumstances, I've only observed it while stealthed.

However I've noticed conversely that in those times when being stealthed will cause Rally to crit 90% of the time, or however much it is, when you leave stealth the crit rate on Rally becomes pitiful, resembling the opposite.

I noticed this when mucking around in a city doing nothing but running around and using various abilities. When I was using Rally I noticed that the HoT wasn't critting nearly as much as my 50% weapon crit chance should allow.

Furthermore, I tried putting on magelight in case it was simply a matter of scaling with a different resource, but even then there was no change in the crit rate.

I'm not sure what is going on here, but it needs to be addressed. Momentums heal is not calculating crit properly on both ends of the spectrum. Sometimes it overcrits, under opposite conditions it undercrits. Very odd.

I don't mind the dismount, but I agree, there's issue with some clarity on how it works.

Sometimes at the end, if untouched, there's no "big heal", sometimes there is.
Sometimes during the HoT, if you hit it again, you get the "big heal", sometimes you get SUPER "big heal" (not critted, but x2 or x3 according to some add-ons)

etc....

not sure what's going on.

@ZOS_GinaBruno‌ some clarity on the release notes or the tooltip would be super.

I Reported it before the rally bug, seems it was too difficult to fix.
