Its hard enough..... for the casual player its really hard ... please most people in this game 80% are casual players.. I think normal needs lowering and maybe veteran needs to be increased... I know of 5 players that have stopped not because it was to easy but its to hard....

After playing on Live and feedback from other players:

    - Veteran Dungeon are harder than previous Veteran Dungeon and provide a real challenge
    - Normal Dungeon scaled Veteran are Challenging
    - Normal Dungeon scaled below Veteran are very easy

I personally really like the actual difficulty of Normal Dungeon on a Veteran character.

Now, maybe to have a set of difficulty like "easy-normal-hard" could be a ideal improvement.
I'd be very very disappointed if Zenimax were forced to tune down the difficulty.

( I use myself as referent because, I'm not a newbie and I know a little bit what I'm doing, but I'm clumsy , do not min-max and play without addons. SO I truely believe that if I can do something, everyone can do it)

I really do not like this pledge system. It pretty much ruined for me the overall gaming experience. The idea was good, but the execution pretty lousy.

It's just another "pissing contest" about who is the best super maximized ultra optimized template for future skill & equipment clones.

Seriously. Since they introduced dungeon scaling as it is now, since patch 5... this game only frustrated me.

I haven't really done any pledges yet, because there was never a group. And those two times I found a group - we just kept wiping at the end boss.
And yes, we have read up on tactics.

But after a while nuking & hacking away at that last boss...

Getting constantly swarmed by Adds, hit by "Homing Missile Nukes" with more than 1,5 K dmg... and then trying to evade at the same time constant AoEs that seems to be able to predict where you stand and come so fast, that you cannot evade them all.

Not having any noteworthy aggro control, and none of the spells or skills work on them because they are too powerful...

The only challenge I see here is not to stumble over my own keys and click the right spell in time... or pray that swapping my spell bar will work...

After a while of running, tumbling and clicking spell buttons, swapping spell bars... I get a knot in my fingers from playing drunken tarantula on my keyboard.

I never had to face such crap in any other MMORPG. For me that is not fun, just one hectic messy and annoying click-fest.

Nope. Those Pledges suck - might be because of dungeon scaling, or because I suck... thing is - I hadn't had any real fun with ESO ever since Patch 5 and the introduction of the dungeon scaling...

I want to be able to experience the game and get stuff done even with a "non clone" group. I want to be able to finish a quest or a pledge with only 3 people, even if we are not super ultra pimped and VR14... I do not want to depend on a healer or tank... in worst case it has to work without those.

Dungeon Scaling should take into account how strong your group really is.

It should take into account, if you have a full group and what the lowest level in your team is.

Not being able to finish stuff or getting to experience stuff will drive people away.

I am truly considering to quit ESO. This game got now all the flaws and bad things that made me quit other MMORPGs.

The Bronze and Silver chests for completing the non-Veteran pledges will need to offer much better rewards if you want the difficulty increased. Right now, the rewards are pathetic and don't really motivate players to complete the dungeons again.

The motivation should not be the reward. The motivation should be the fun! How can you expect anyone to have fun if the Dungeon is so easy you can faceroll it eyes closed. Then players will do Dungeon for the reward, they will "have to do their daily" it will be a grind and player will start to complain. If the Dungeon is fun, then the reward is just a bonus added.

Now, between you and me, the actual difficulty is so laughable that it only deserve greys as reward and 5g for the time spent: Nothing more than that. If players can not face more difficult than that, there is no hope for them.

As much as I agree with the fact the dungeon is too easy, I totally disagree with this.

Motivation is the reward. Not the fun. There is no fun in completing the same dungeon 20x, no matter the difficulty (unless the difficulty is taken up a noch each time you complete it but most players wouldn't like that).

Only thing pushing me to do dungeons is the rewards and problem is that the traits randomness makes it an endless grind which sucks.
So as soon as I'm level 10 in undaunted skill line and drop the epaulets of the sets I want in the armor type I want, I'll never do an undaunted pledge again. It's the same for many.

No reward, no need to run it & waste potions.

Do agree it's ridiculously easy for good players but there are lots of people complaining so I guess it ain't so easy for them :(.

Normal Pledge scaled Veteran are challenging, but are not hard. You certainly do not need a "clone" min-maxed group to complete them, and you can do them with a pick up group. If you experiment too much frustration with the Veteran Dungeon, taht are the challenging content for players that want to experiment difficulty, focus on the Normal Dungeon instead. The loot is less good, of course, but as you don't enjoy the hardest content, you do not need the best loot anyway.

Now I totaly disagree with your statement that you should not depend of tank and healers. Yes, you should. In a Dungeon, which is group content, it's normal to requiere a full group of 4 players that include a tank and a healer. This is why this content is created in the first place. Dungeons are supposed to be challenging content for a group of players. If you want a medium challenge, join a Normal Dungeon (you can scale it down and make it easier by having the leader below your level). If you want experiment the hardest content, you can join a veteran Dungeon.

It is important for players to start to understand they are not alone on Earth. One person complain because it's too easy, one complain because it's too hard.

I agree with the idea of scaling up the difficulty like it's doable in a game like DIABLO3 so everyone would be happy and would (hopefull) shut up and enjoy the game instead.
But for now, it's not like that. For now, you have Normal Dungeon for a normal challenge, and Veteran Dungeon for a hard challenge.

I guess it depend of taste. I personaly find the Dungeons very fun to do. I like to do them, repeat them, and explore them again. They are gorgeous, the mechanisc of the bosses are fun and interesting, and when the difficulty is right, it feel great!
Hopefully, there is many players that actually think like me, and enjoy to join Dungeon run, just for the fun!
If you do not like Dungeons, what do you like to do? you are more a PVPer?

I'm mostly doing Arena Hard Mode since it's the only place where I can get loot that I can sell (90k+ each Healer VR14 ring) and difficulty is awesome ^^, and since a few days, clearing Sanctum for the loot and trying to get a good time with my guild. I usually do the VR daily for the gold key since there is one epaulet I need and I want to get the undaunted skill leveled up.

Only dungeon I do enjoy as you describe is VR City of Ash. In my opinion it's the best dungeon they have done so far as far as boss mechanics and gorgeousness ^^.
