Twin Sisters - what a marvelously dumb idea.

So, I've noticed that this set bonus feat seem pretty broken and overpowered - for a number of reasons @ZoS.

1. It delivers way more damage than the description states. I've had it tick on me for up to 320 dmg per second. And in general, it always ticks for more than it is supposed to.
2. The damage cannot be mitigated and doesn't take resistances into account, it seems.
3. You can have multiple twin sister DoTs on your character at the same time should you be unlucky enough to trigger it on multiple enemies in a cluster****.
4. If you're fighting someone with the set, due to the block+attack mechanics of the game, you are almost guaranteed to trigger it at some point, and that's 1/4 to 1/3 of your health bar gone, right there. Nothing you can do about it. That is not balance dear devs.
5. I am fairly certain that I've had it trigger on me by persons I have not hit in combat - could it be that you can somehow trigger it from attacking if you're wearing the set?

This DoT effect from the Twin Sisters armor set needs some adjustment. The proc chance or the damage should definately be looked at.

Also its still in affect after u kill that person. But I doubt this has been reported or if it has, obviously there been nothing done about it. But maybe that's working as intended. I don't know anymore about what's supposed to be working correctly.

Twin Sisters will proc from some AoE effects, like Caltrops, etc.

Could it be possible this may have happened to you?

Also, should probably note that multi-hit attacks will trigger the Twin Sisters proc 100% on every single hit. Flurry will basically kill you if you try to use it against anyone wearing the set.

I know Surprise Attack also procs it 100% of the time.

This set definitely needs to be looked at. The thing is just buggy and more and more people are starting to exploit it.

ZOS, this set is a problem. Please fix.

the only reason its hitting you is because YOU are a dragonite, useing reflective wings :)
nothing about it is stacking and nothing about it is overpowered or out of balance, especialy when it only works rarely and it even says 20% chance to work right on the description.
just because you are starting to finally die to other people now as a dragonight when you have had a free ride now for over a year does not mean things are broken, it just means that finaly things are starting to become balanced and working properly :)

oh and by the way, you mention that you lost 1/3 of your health?
haha, dont you remember that you dragonights have a skill that instantly heals you and recovers 30% of any lost health.

    Uh, no.

The set is bugged. I thought this was common knowledge by now, but apparently not.

It's not a 20% chance to proc, it's a 100% chance to proc on many abilities. That's why it's bugged.

Sounds like somebody's been exploiting this set w/out realizing it, perhaps.

the only reason you think it is 100% is because every single time you attack me there is a 20% chance its going to proc. thats alot of hits and alot of dice rolling, it is bound to take effect eventually :)

This really has 0 bearing on whether the set is bugged or not.

I don't honestly care who killed who or how. I'm in this thread because the set has a very noticeably bugged proc rate.

Or are you trying to tell me that my Surprise Attack proc'ing it 100% of the time, every time, every day is somehow every single opponent wearing Twin Sisters "beating the odds"? Yeah, no.

I didn't say anything about the DoT "stacking" or anything else mentioned in the OP. I'm just here to let ZoS know my own experiences w/ this set, which has been bugged since the last patch at least.

    oh, and by the way
you guys now i notice have started to not hit me and just stand there with mass buble and huge stacked shields cheat, well i have decided to now just stand there with you as you hold block
when you guys finally decide to start using actual skills that zen has provided on your skill line instead of constant fire ring, whip lash and bat swarm and impulse then maybe youll realize that the game is fun and has alot more to offer then just those buttons.
but if you continue to use them against me then this is where my "twin sisters set" is going to be used and working as intended :)

haha, i specialize in bleed effects my friend, why not take a few moments and look into the nightblade bleeding skills and see that you might be bleeding from somthing that is not related to the twin sister set :)

Okay, there are two issues with Twin Sister currently that will be addressed in Update 5. The first, mentioned earlier, is that the proc isn't working properly. The second is that the bleed effect is stacking on your target, which is not intended.

Also @Ifthir_ESO‌, the next patch we have will be Update 5, and that's the soonest we can get this fix out!

Gee, look at that @dwemer_paleologist, you were wrong on both counts.

I did try to say that you were using a broken set and probably didn't realize it, but instead you rudely insisted on being right.

I've been using Twins since April, and I really hope they don't destroy this set because it's bugged. It was working fine before this little hiccup, and I only use it now because I don't want to spend gold or AP on new armor for just a patch

Ha ha ha, hit a guy in Cyrodiil just now who quickly stealthed up and escaped after only one hit. I procced twin sisters and it ticked for 160 dmg a sec and continiued until it had dealt 1600 dmg to my character.

Riiight, this armor set is working as intended.

It would of never done that much damage. Unless you hit him twice or three times and the proc stacked.

It happens rarely but is 100% on certain abilities.

So dont surprise attack anyone. :)

How about we fix the storm knight first, The 5 set for it is 5% chance to do AoE shock damage when hit, but in reality its a 100% proc rating. I found out today because I jumped a guy with it, decided to use flurry to drop his stamina, but every single one of my flurry pokes proced the lightning AoE and it was as if he was impulsing (though he wasnt because he had S/S)

i threw caltrops down on a zerg of players and to get killed by twin sisters from several players just blocking and walking there way out of it.. and the amount of times it stacks is silly, like how can u block some spikes on the ground hitting your feet and reflect damage back at the player via set proc. beats me . logic is broken
