I have a question about sorc and his builds.

Can i play sorc normally with 2h weapon and medium armor? Or i must wear a staff and light armor only? Could sorc have good damage without staff and light armor? Or there is no freedom of choose and i must wear only that stupid staff to play equal with other players? Is the stamina skills really so weak?

Definitely viable at least in PvE. PvP I dunno.

Sorcs don't get any passives which boost stamina max or regen - true - but they do get an awesome buff in surge which boosts weapon damage.

What they don't get which other classes get are abilities which rush you to a target or pull the target to you. But equip a shield and you can use shield charge.

Feel free to waste your time gimping yourself with that build. Not only is 2H pathetically weak, but the sorcerer has no means of refilling stamina so the lasting power of a sorcerer on a stamina build is pretty bad.

these days I roll 2H on my sorc, altho I wear heavy armor - it might be gimped and what not but its fun for me. I leveled to 50 in medium armor and dual wielding daggers - also really fun gameplay. You can check out Atropos videos of his sorc on youtube for build ideas.

I think 2h is really nice in PVE for levelling and grinding, but it probably won't be enough when compared to other classes for trial DPS and that kind of stuff. In PVP that build struggles in my opinion, mainly because your self heal won't work there, and you don't have enough magicka to stack shields.

Are you interested in a stamina build or a magicka build, 'cause it seems like you're wanting a hybrid of each while confused as to why you're basically taking a double hit?

Have you considered a mix of Medium and Light?
