Skill line won't level

I'm having a skill on my DK from the earthen heart on my off hand. I use it all the time, but it will never level. Why is this? Do only skills used on the weapon equipped, level?

Only skills on your active weapon level, so if you want to level up your alternate weapon skill bar, when you go to turn a quest in, swap to it first, turn the quest in, then swap back after earning the experience.

Otherwise, just use the alternate weapon as your primary for a while, to level those skills.

It involves particular weapon swaps where the experience bonuses don't always switch completely to the new weapon set together on the client and the server. This results in the client showing your current weapon set bar advancing, but behind the scenes you are actually still getting some of the experience bonuses on your previous weapon set.

It is suggested that a fix is coming this Monday. But for all or only one of the bugs...who knows?

I think the issue is not deleted experience, if I read it correctly... You have your Primary weapon set, and Secondary weapon set. The secondary weapon set is not leveling up while the primary weapon set is being used. That is intended.
