Hey all my nightblades!

need some help as a DW NB....please help me a bit! :)

I need to know what combo opener is best for PVE LEVELING (1-50 and VR ranks)

Sneak + Ambush + Surprise Attack
Sneak + Lotus Fan + Surprise Attack
Sneak + Shadowy Disguse + Concealed Weapon

or should I ignore using sneak all together?

Please let me know opinions!

I'm sure there are many ways to do it but here's what I do.

    Lotus Fan+Impale+Rapid Strikes
    or
    Funnel Health+Lotus Fan+Rapid Strikes

Most enemies go down before the Rapid Strikes is finished, if not I hit them again with Impale or another Rapid Strikes.

Like I said, I'm sure there are different or what some might say better openers but I like this one. That's whats great about PVE, you don't have to do the 'ideal' build. You can do what is fun for you.

It all depends man, for multiple mobs a lotus fan + power extraction + steel tornado rotation is really good, single target from stealth ambush + suprise attack + rapid strikes or blood craze and killers blade for the finish is extremely strong.

For solo fight.... Dark cloak - concealed weapons - heavy attack weave - blinding flurry - light attack weave - rinse & repeat or killer's blade.

For a group fight... Expert hunter (if undead/daedra) - Power extraction - Steel tornado - rinse & repeat.

Melee world boss... Siphoning strikes - Haste - Heated blades - blood craze - light hit weave - cripple - light hit weave - rinse & repeat at heated blades.

Range world boss (not cc immune)... siphoning strikes - haste - dark cloak - concealed weapons - light hits until stun ends - rinse & repeat at dark cloak.

Range world boss (cc immune)... Get a friend.

Veil of Blades is the best PVE ultimate... Probably in the entire game.

This one, but be sure that you are always actually in sneak mode, not just hitting shadowy disguise while running. And you need to approach the enemy from behind. If they see you (even for the split second right after you come out of invisibility but before you have struck), it won't crit as powerfully. This will almost one shot normal enemies. Finish with killer's blade (strikes 4x as hard against enemies below 25% health).

    Otherwise, everything Jacques said above.

For a group of 2 or 3: I simply go to sneak (make sure you are behind or on the side of your first target > teleport strike/ambush (30% extra damage on next attack is pretty nice just to get that target down quick) > strife 2nd target > flurry (duel wield)/ uppercut (2handed) > 1st target dead (if not do another flurry/uppercut > move to next, rinse and repeat.

for 1 mob same as above it is a pretty tried and true method for fast mob death.

For tougher mobs I also keep shadow cloak and veiled strike/surprise attack on my bar so after I do the above I shadow cloak > veiled strike/surprise attack > strife > flurry/uppercut> heavy attack (for stam regen)> should be close to dead> flurry/uppercut.

You can also keep your block up for your class abilities to reduce damage taken.

    Just my .02 cents

for PvE 1-50 and vr(not craglorn) (for small groups (1-3) of common mobs)
surprise attack from stealth + impale (1st kill), then
dark cloack + surprise attack + flying blade or rapid strikes (1-2 times) + impale (repeat series) for second and third mob kill (flying blade is more universal and instant radip strikes do somewhat more dmg but it is chanel).
vail of blades ulti for emergency situations.

AoE bar for craglorn and public dungeons PvE (for large groups (5+) of common mobs)
Focused Attacks(for stamina regen boost & passive crit bonus)-Volcanic Rune (in the middle of the mob pack)-Ambush (to the middle of the mob pack)-Power Extraction (while the mobs are in the air)- Steel Tornado spam..
Flawless dawnbreaker ulti for passive dmg bonus.

Surprise attack is good, 40% armor reduction is solid. However, concealed weapons is currently the only sneak speed buff that stacks with vamp/nights silence. Your play style will dictate your skill choice. However, Nightblades have access to mark target, which negates 75% of the targets armor and spell resistance albeit your own as well. This may or may not be an issue depending on how well you deploy cloak to counter attacks.

I play both PvE and PvP. Surprise attack is more universal as in PvP armor debuf is important and mark target skill is hard to use in PvP (to have in on your bar).
Stealth movement speed is not critical in my build as most of my attack skills are distant (ambush, flying blade, impale).
