Festival Ideas

Hey guys I am @Elridge in game, I was looking to do another ESO player run festival and wanted to see what kind of events you normally do with your friends/guilds. Something we can do on a bit of a larger scale.

Last time we had events such as:
Fashion Show
Lore Trivia
Riddle Contest
Base Jumping
A live play of "The Lusty Argonian Maid"
Live auction

What kind of events would you like to see at the next player run festival?

but to hell with the idea of them NEEDING to be player run. In addition to player-run awesomeness - see below:

If ZOS would institute, ACTUAL NPC DRIVEN Festivals. With special vendors with items unique to the festival. Actual playable mini-games. Special food and drink items. Special quests (akin to the mini-games but on a bigger scale) like a scavenger hunt or hide and seek etc etc.

I would be happy, very very happy.

Nice little throwback to my text-based MUD days. Would be great to see done with actual graphics.

Which may come in time, who knows, but it's far from the top of their list of things to do I would imagine. It would be nice if they did something for their holidays (Like today if you line up the calendars is the Witches' Festival Holiday. Sure it would be nice if devs should put in stuff for us to have fun with, like these events, confetti and fireworks, just tools for us to play with at these sort of events or guild events.

However this is also an MMO, a player driven game surrounded by like minded players, it's not up to the devs to force us to be social. It is also up to us to take a break from questing, killing each other in Cyrodiil, slaying bosses, and just enjoy the world they created and it's inhabitants (other players). The other day a friend and myself sat in a spa in Eastmarch and just talked, enjoyed the setting and got to know a fellow player.

Until ZOS starts doing things like that (and probably even after), I have no issues helping them as a player with bringing together the community. I am @Elridge on the NA Mega Server AD side, I will be your host hahaha

Considering the ongoing QQ about how/when/where to buy anything, I suspect a live auction might get u quite a few people since they could go to one place and essentially AH-themselves to death :P

@Soulshine‌ actually, The guild Blue Skooma Roleplay hosts an auction every Saturday at the Marbruk Merchant's Plaza at 7pm PST (they have done this nearly since launch), we just used that as the final part of the festival last time, which we will do again this time.

Mind you this is all in the Aldmeri Dominion NA Mega Server

also on a side note, weren't you ( @soulshine ) part of beta? I think we actually spoke in a thread about the social and anti social features of ESO about a year ago hahaha

Hehe. If you are doing those type of events on the server that is awesome since - jokes aside - it is a big complaint we see often, right? As for beta, yes I have been around for a while. Nice to see some of us are still left

@Soulshine‌ yes it is a big complaint I see very often, I've seen a few guilds run them here and there but don't know of any others with the same consistency. I still hope to see more events like these to bring the community together. Yes, after so long it's great to see familiar faces.
