From MMO experience, I know that the introduction of a new system it's always tempting to enjoy the chase of new materials, and 'getting there'. However I feel the inventory bloat in ESO does not need adding to. Thus for the eventual deployment of Jewelry crafting I thought the following might help.
When you craft a ring say, it would use an Iron ingot. And one coloured temper to determine its quality and trait.
Blacksmithing temper = Healthy trait(+health).
Clothing temper = Arcane trait(+Magicka).
Woodworking temper = Robust trait(+Stamina).
So 1 Iron ingot and a Hemming (green, clothing) Would produce a level 4 Green quality ring with + Magicka.
3 Iron Ingots and a Mastic would give you a level 8 ring with + Stamina, and so on.
There'd need to be some creativity if the devs wanted to attach an in-depth achievement list to the crafting. But Expanding the system itself would be pretty straight forward.
Could use similar enchanting mats for a new trait, Spell resistance?
Spend a skill point to use TWO tempers in a craft and get 2 reduced effects. IE:
1 skill point and you Get +40 Stam and +40 Health, instead of just +70 health.
2 skill points and you Get +50 Stam and +50 Health, instead of just +70 health, etc.
Anyway I thought this would be a tidy way to introduce the craft without significant item bloat, and add a little value to tempers, thoughts?
