Nightblade Healer (Bloodmage) outdated

I'm pretty new to the game. I only have 1 character at about level 20, but I'm kind of figuring out what I want to do with it. I played a Resto Druid in WoW and loved it. I'm looking for about the same type of thing; Lots of hots, and versatility (not just button spamming one or two buttons). Upon my initial research prior to playing the game, It seemed to me like a nightblade might be able to make a decent healer with almost the exact play type I was looking for. So far, I seem to have been correct. I have healed the 12-15 dungeons and haven't had much of a problem soloing so far.

I did a little more research and started to put together a mock build of what I want the end result to be. I figured bare bones, this is about what I should shoot for.

My first bar is almost all life stealing spells (except healing springs). My second bar is mostly pure healing/ oh sh*t buttons. I did it this way because I feel like that is how I would play; I would be tossing out the "little" heals most of the time, then switching for the "holy f**k!?" moments. I haven't really experimented with how fast I can switch bars in combat, but I'm assuming that it isn't hard to do swiftly(any input on this would be greatly appreciated).

I do realize my build is pretty bare bones and I will have a lot of skill points to put in towards other passives and possibly things like immovable.

I would greatly appreciate any input from people that have more experience than I do with this type of build.

Specifically:
- I would like to know if Sanguine altar is a good choice or not. If not, suggestions for replacement.
- Would Going vampire be worth it? It didn't appear to be worth it to me.
- Is this type of build actually viable in the endgame?

He's the healer Tamriel deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hurt his tank. Because he can heal them to full. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful rejuvinator. A Cloaked Healer.

Update, I have now completed the next set of dungeons (lvl 20-23) with little problems. I'm definitely liking the build so far. Fun to play, not just button mashing. The thing I need to improve on while playing the build is managing my manna. I need to use the staff in between spells and not worry so much about keeping people topped off. let the Hots do their thing.

Personally, I'd get rid of Altar and Path to use Inner Light instead for more crits. Altar being too stationary in many fights and having not enough healing, same for Path.
I have never used Funnel Health since I needed the other morph for PvP.
The last time I tested Sap Essence, I seemed to draw too much attention from mobs, so I went with Circle of Protection from Fighter's Guild instead - situational thing, downside is it's stationary. If Sap works for you, keep it.
Rest seems ok, although I often used Soul Harvest to get more ultimate from kills -> More Veil-uptime.

I wasn't sure about altar. I'm almost definitely going to swap it out for probably circle of protection now that you said that. I haven't tried Sap yet, as I don't have the level for it yet. I will have to see how that one works. I was also trying to think of ways to make funnel health tick for more. I was trying to decide between Ambush and inner Light for that. I will probably lean toward inner light because of your suggestion.

So siphoning strikes does work with the resto staff? I wasn't 100% sure about that one.

It does but since you wanted a flexible and versatile build I didn't mention it. If you put in SA and IL you will have 4 skill slots filled with toggle skills.
