Hi.

I am a level 30 Nord sorcerer and i want to start healing in dungeons. I dont have any experience with healing or dungeons, so i kinda need all the tips and advices i can get before i start. :)

Also is there any addons that makes healing dungeons easier?

You can start healing in dungeons by switching to a Templar, so just use the Restoration skill tree for yourself. Self heals are better then no heals. Or you can go to trials and use Grand Healing... Morph it to Healing Springs.. since everyone is stacked on the boss you will hit 12 people at once and get magicka back per person hit with it. Templars will out heal anyone with only one ability. (Breath of Life).

You can heal with any class even in endgame, its just a different way of healing.

As you are not a templar your only heal are from the restoration staff skill line,
1 and 3 ability are a must have, 2 skill can be useful in 4 man dungeon, i dont generally use shields but the siphon spirit can be useful on boss fight (5 skill morph)

The only problem is that you wont have and burst heal, so you should rely on hots and buff for the group.

Lats thing, if the group doesn't know how to play, doesn't matter if you are a templar or not, stay out of the red circles.

Steadfast Ward > Healing Ward is a sort-of burst heal. It's not as good as Rushed Ceremony but it serves.

Grand Healing would of course be your primary heal, supplemented by Regeneration and maybe Funnel Health. Blessing of Protection is nice if you can take the magicka cost. I'd personally avoid Force Siphon, the healing is weak and the magicka restore from Siphon Spirit isn't worth the cast time IMO.

Siphon spirit is useful for boss fight, he is sorcerer so no funnel health

Sorry, for some reason I thought he said he's a NB. Anyways, Sorcs already have excellent magicka management, they don't need to spend 1.5 seconds to cast a weak heal and magicka restore that requires you to attack the target.

Also, Staff abilities scale off weapon power, so Surge is excellent for boosting healing output.

my sorc setup when i´m entiteld to heal is this
i´m not using blessing of protection as the healing is garbage - and if the dd´s want the 13%dmg increasement they have to provide it on their own as the HP/mana ratio of this spell is utter BS.

siphon spirit is a great support spell for your group, not often to be recasted giving your grp mates 1% magica on every attack shouldnt be underestimated.

I dont understand this "Mutagen" morph. From what i read the morph makes the ability go away and stop healing if my target goes under 20%. That sounds very counter productive when trying to keep my target alive?
And also i see you have Magelight. Does that mean that spell critical strikes works on healing and healing over time spells?

Mutagen heals for X over 20 seconds, but if the target health drops below 20% is does a burst heal for 4X

So this is a great heal for topping people up and if they get a big hit, this heal over times converts to a burst heal. So you get the best of both worlds in a single spell

Also, all heals can crit, so Magelight means more of your heals can heal for 150% of there normal amount

    As Nightblade I use:
Healing Springs / Rapid Regen / Combat Prayer / Spell Symetrie / Siphoning Attacks

Only Problem are AOE Grps where the AOE Nuker gets the Aggro. Than he just dies without any chance of a burst heal, expecially Melee AOE that can't block during DMG.

I tried healing ward instead of Combat Prayer but had the feeling my grp was taking much more dmg without the Armor/Spell Resist/DMG+ Buff from combat prayer.

I wouldn't discount Combat Prayer as easily as some people do it here. It's usefulness is average in dungeons in general but high in dps-races. And in contrast to Circle of Protection, its bonus to armor and spell resist (and ofc to dmg as well) isn't locked in place.

Combat Prayer is definitely useful, but if you're having magicka problems I'd skip it. It's a luxury, not an essential.
