Why do people say lash is worse?

Just wondering why some people are saying the follow up attack for flame lash isn't good anymore, I've tried it and it seems to still be effective.

? Don't know how free heal isn't good. Not possible to claim unless your an idiot. Perhaps its no longer free? If its still free just enjoy it! Lol. Haven't played my apt do much since patch so haven't noticed a difference yet. Sorry that comment isn't helpful at all.

95% of the DKs I face will talon me and spam this ability the entire fight. im pretty sure DKs overall don't consider it "not good"

Depends on context most likely. On anything not subject to the off-balance state, whip will be just plain better, so if you focus on max dps for boss fights, whip > lash.

My Altmer DK uses a flame staff and I have the other morph for the increased damage on Ardent Flame Abilities. It is more beneficial than the heal with my particular build. So it depends on how you are using the skill.

Yea, On my DK i hit about 300 with flame lash, but when I use molten whip i hit 350+

and those aren't crits

I read a comment in another thread that said Molten Whip uses weapon crit instead of spell crit, can anyone confirm or deny this please?
