DoT timers are wrong [BUG?]

I've noticed that DoT timers are applied to an enemy when you press a hotkey (on key down) but the ability itself actually activates on key UP.

Please change the timer/debuff to be KEY UP.

It's a little disorienting trying to manage dots; there are times when I cast a spell and then begin to press the next command but I wait for the opportune moment to release, but the timer has already been applied to the enemy unit frame.

It would be super awesome if ZOS could get this fix into the upcoming patch - it seems like an incredibly simple fix.

    This is a function of the addon you are using to track your dots or short effects. The API doesn't allow for seeing when a DOT is started (applied) or how much time is left. What addon devs do as a work around, is apply or activate the DOT/temp effect "tracker" on key press. Consider it more of an estimation.

    It's super lame that there is no DoT tracking functionality in the stock UI. Come on ZOS devs, you can do better.

    I would like to see a small buff to DoT DMG in general or a greater decrease of it's costs.

    Atm. if we would go out for a complete DoT Build, we would need ~60% of our Magicka Pool to kill one single Standard Mob.
