Kind of Newb question

I never played on a test server before. I am thinking about it, but I am wondering if I will start off fresh (more than likely not be on test server) or if I am able to start at a higher level? Asking because there are a couple builds I would like to try, but do not want to put a lot of time leveling a test character, if you know what I mean.

You absolutely can, @wwusterbarthub17_ESO. When you get to the character selection screen on PTS, you'll see a little drop down menu in the top left corner. If that drop down says "None" you'll be starting fresh at level 1. If you select "Trial Testing Template" you'll be able to create a Veteran ranked character. When you log in with your VR character, open your inventory menu and use the item called "Box of Impromptu Nedic Destiny" to get lots of nice gear to use.

Awesome, but what constitutes if I get that drop down?

basically its open to everyone, as long as ZoS flags the option to be available in the next PTS update
