I just past the URL from Anook.com where I store all my screenies. Anook.com is a social network for gamers, a really awesome community, a sort of very cool Facebook but just for gamer. Well I got my blog and my guild website there, so I just copy the URL of my screenie, wich is why it has the right size. You should come say hello

You need to set up a key to remove your UI by going in the Settings - Controls - Remove UI
Then you take a screenshot with Printscreen.
It will be saved in Document - Elder Scrolls Online - Live or LiveEu - Screenshots
Then you can upload it directly in a new post by dragging your image in the image box. Or you can upload it on another website like Imugur, Anook, or whatever and post the URL in the image box.

After lighting the pyre atop the signal tower at the end of the Bleakrock Isle mission sequence, I wanted to get a better zoomed out view of the pyre and the sunrise coming up behind the distant mountain. Little did I know it would mean jumping to my death, for the wall was too high to get over without the aid of nearby crates on the inside only.



{hmm, perhaps some sort of climbing skill would be useful in such a situation? ala parkour?)

[i changed the link to the 'hotlink' to get a bigger image, without having to do anything more than cut and paste; and you have the option of going to the site and downloading the image to view bigger and better, or you can click the plus and zoom it in your web page; same with most hosters i think]

to add you can upload your image to a hosting site (what i do) and paste the 'bbcode' link like : "Screenshot-20190728-125612.png" but without the quotes (hope i got it right for this comment, lol), but there are other methods i think; see the 'image' icon above the text input window.

use the 'preview' button; i got rather lucky on my first attempt, my first post above; the simple paste of the code on one line worked fine
I'm editing this rather heavily before posting, using preview, which has an edit button missing from finished posts
{just remembered that i had edited my previous post, adding the bit about parkour, but was unable to edit the following one, i am not sure why, maybe i spaced it}

it's a little wonky; i would suggest cleaning up your forum code a bit so things work smoother, maybe use phpbb? idk, good luck? hope this posts ok after one more preview

here's an attempt at pasting the full screen image code from the same hosting site:

the image this time is an example of ui modification with some addons and moving the chat window (size the top up then the bottom up, repeat till it is where you want it; might work left right also but I didn't)

how about a bbcode full screen link?

they call it 'hotlink for forums':



still not taking me to the full screen link you can really get full screen in your browser if you want (without actually downloading the file via their download button); looks like we will have to figure out the specific bbcode for this forum... one sec...

ok, couldn't find any reference in this forum about this forums use of bbcode; i'm going to assume i am somehow just not smart enough to understand why my previous attempts failed (though they had also worked)
let's just suppose that coders are weird and they make things intentionally wonky

after doing some basic bbcode research on the 'interwebs' i decided to try this:

which is just swapping the web addresses in this code provided by the hosting site, so i get a thumbnail here that links to a full size image that you can view in fullscreen mode f11 in your browser if you like; i guess the hosting site does in backwards so they can get your add clicks? probably. it says it is a 'dot org' but you know... still, good site (btw, this does not mean there is nothing wrong with the forum code here, just that the hosting site is doing it backwards)

well, so the thumnail link did not fly, lets just try it as a basic paste:

'forbidden' ; looks like it references the folder to the image page for the hosting site which provides the thumbnail directly and then redirects you to the 'folder page' if you click it; the second address is the actual image but it doesn't give you a full-screen image when you click it, which it should, imo; maybe time for a new hoster, idk;

so, it looks like you have to use the forum itself to get your full screen link, if possible:

Well, that is depressing, but... i guess you can just post both the link and the bbcode for the image so it makes a nice size image here like the first one is above.

So, the bbcode makes the link to the fullscreen image a thumbnail link, a link to the thumbnail image, if you use 'url', and if you use 'img' it makes a nice size image here but there is no link

Can someone verify if their image hosting site does it differently or the same? In other words, does it work for anyone? Can you make a image link to the full screen image using bbcode? Is that the limitation of the bbcode itself or the hosting site? It looks like it is a hosting site issue because the code is for the actual full screen image itself. So when the hosting site gets the click the bbcode tells it to do the thumbnail so you have to go to their site and view their ads.

The answer is to post the image using the 'img' tag and then just paste the http address. If you use the 'url' tag it will give you a thumbnail.

The toolbar really just adds the bbcode for you, nothing fancy there.

Sorry to hijack your thread for this rant. Hopefully it helps ppl post images.

;TLDR

1. upload your image to a hosting site (at full size)
2. use the toolbar and paste the link to the actual image, with the ending .png or .jpg not .html, etc.
3. also paste the link without using the toolbar, just right click and select paste or use ctrl+v

this gives both a nice size image here and a link to a full screen image

and/or you can paste your image hosters suggested 'bbcode' link
