Basically this is the fix i got from ESO, they mess up with a patch and we are punished with reinstall, nice !

Well you have a bad file. It was probably a file that was missing or corrupted from the last patch. Sense the repair did not find the error you are going to need to do a reinstall but when you do the install do it in safe mode. For directions on how to start in safe mode look here.

To do full uninstall The Elder Scrolls Online, please follow the steps below:
1. Click on Start, then Control Panel.
2. Under Programs, click Uninstall a Program.
3. If you use either Small or Large icons for the Control Panel, then find the entry for Program and Features instead and click on it.
4. Once the Programs and Features window appears, scroll down to find the entry for The Elder Scrolls Online, then double click on it.
5. Follow the prompts to uninstall the client.
Once the game is uninstalled, use the steps below to clean up any other files that may have been left lying around.
1. Navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\ZenimaxOnline\. This is where the game is stored by default.
2. If you installed the game in a custom location, use Windows Explorer to navigate there.
3. Delete all the folders that are listed here by clicking on the folder once, the pressing the Delete key on the keyboard. Click Yes when the confirmation window appears.
4. Once all the folders are deleted, go ahead and close any windows that are open.
You may also wish to take this opportunity to run Disk Cleanup to make sure everything is cleaned up.
1. Go to Start-->All Programs, -->Accessories-->System Tools-->Disk Cleanup.
2. A small window will appear stating that it is scanning various items. This may take a few minutes depending on how much there is to scan.
3. Once it is finished scanning and the Disk Cleanup window appears, go down the list of items and ensure everything is checked.
4. Once everything is checked, click OK to run the cleanup. This will most likely take several minutes.
Now that you have in uninstalled, you can get the game reinstalled. First restart the computer in safe mode remember (the directions for safe mode again are here). Revisit the accounts page at https://account.elderscrollsonline.com/login and sign in. Once you've signed in, click the Download Game button. Once downloaded, run the installer as before. Please make sure to install both DirectX and the C++ Run Time at the end of the installation.
Once the installation is done, try running the game. However, when starting the game, try doing something slightly different. This time, try right-clicking on the icon for the game. In the menu that appears, select Run as administrator. This should hopefully let the game start and run normally.

    I herd it doesn't but not going to do it anyway, who would reinstall a 30gig game everytime they patch something? Nah dnt think so

    That happened with em with FF14. every time they patched something I would have to re install the whole game.

    Talking about intellectual capabilities of demented pigeons (funny!) ... Putting on my best Tech Support hat I'm led to ask; how is a corrupted file from a download Zenimax's fault? :neutral_face:
    Unless the file is corrupted from the beginning (then everyone would have the same issue) the corruption obviously happened downstream from the source (Zenimax servers) so I'd be looking at the following factors first ..

    1. Sometimes when doing other 'stuff' on your PC during a download can result in issues with the file/malformed file.
    2. Virus checkers and 3rd party firewalls can interfere with components within a download based on their heuristics and definitions .. resulting in a malformed file.
    3. Your cat might have rubbed up or walked through the wireless beam or your Ethernet cable (depending on which u use) .. causing a localised temporal static storm, potentially deforming the download.
    4. The wicked witch of the West cast a hex on you because she wants to play ESO and you've gone and used the UID she had wanted for herself.
    5. Uranus is out of alignment with Pluto ... happens periodically ever since the rest of the planets found out that Pluto only ever pretended to be a planet to take advantage of planetary junkets. The wrath of Uranus probably had a causative effect on the bit-stream that was heading your way.

    In short ... Zenimax didn't send out a corrupted file, but somewhere in between that file sitting all cosy like on the Zenimax servers and then being blitzed through the ether to your PC something happened ... the fates conspired to ruin your install.

    It is frustrating (I know!) .. but in the scheme of things it's nothing to write home about :) .. and certainly doesn't validate making illogical/unrelated and just unfair inferences.

    whats annoying is when people like you come here and say its your pc not Zos!

    What planet are you from? NO its not my pc, the re install doesnt work! lots of people are saying the same, lots of people are posting about bad client errors...

    It must be a coincidence this happened after the patch and you must be the pc tech person of the year, some one hand him an oscar /clap

    No. I pay for the game. I am part of the community I can play and be on the forums as much as I like.

    That is a load of skeever droppings. The majority do NOT have these problems and that poster and I will spend just as much time on these forums and we diddly dang well please.

    I was not trolling I asked if it worked because had it then I could redirect others here if they had a problem. I sympathized because I had similar problems with FF14. Calling a game unplayable because you personally have problems is simply not true and now your just being a tool.

    Just because you are part of the 0.01% with an non standard PC or OS, you can't blame it on ZOS.

    I redownloaded the game through the patcher after getting error 11 (via repair) and the game worked once I did that. It sucks, they need to fix the patcher doing that but if you want to play, the sooner you do it the sooner you get online.
