ESO has been my favourite MMO of all time, bugs and all, but this anti-crafters environment is really getting to me.

I love crafting - I hate crafting in ESO.

    Actually I couldn't disagree more - I really like crafting in this game and I'm pleased that it takes a significant amount of time to finish researching all the traits. In my case it actually takes 30 days to finish the last trait per item as I only have 1 skill point in it - but that is fine as hopefully I'll be close to finishing what I need by the time I reach V12 and I'm in no rush to get them all before then. (V4 atm :) )

    The crafters in my guild don't seem to have had a problem so far from what I have seen as we just put a shout out if we need something trait wise and it appears in the mail courtesy of a guildie foc - after saying that I am refering to my "proper guild" ie one that we chat and play together in - rather than the more utilty guilds that are just there for the guild store.

    Re the storage space - I think the idea is simple - either chose to focus on trying to get all the crafts in which case get used to mule alts or stick to a couple of crafts - at least in this game you have that choice rather than be forced by the game makers to limit your crafting to 2 crafts per character.

    If they increased the storage dramatically it would allow everyone to do all the crafts on the same character without having any negatives to that choice - which devalues the choice completely.

    What is the point of only getting all your points in a craft AFTER you need them?
    And I am not in a hurry - ESO just is not the game for people obsessed with that next level! What I am is a crafter who likes to contribute to her guild by crafting items for guildmates, not just myself.

    Which is exactly how it is in my Social guild - that's the point if you read what I said more carefully - there are some traits which seem massively harder to pick up than others. (I assume by "proper guild" you meant a social guild?)

    Please don't try to tell others how to play their game; if someone wanted to have all crafts one one character - that is their choice - it wouldn't be mine, but I don't think my way is the only way, nor feel the need to dictate to others how they should play.

    All I can add to this is the thing I hear most often complained about is the unecessary difficulties when trying to be a crafter. And I don't mean the kids in zone chat, I mean the intelligent, mature ESO-dedicated players I have the good fortune to share my online time with.

    The limited space does not discourage crafting, it just discourages doing all crafts at once.

    Long trait research does not discourage crafting either - the opposite, it makes dedicated crafters valuable.

    Some traits being rare is a temporary thing - once a single person learns it, he can make unlimited copies for everyone else to learn.

    200 slots in bank + 170 in character inventory = enough to stock most materials
    Of course, if you level 6 professions on the same character, you will need even more space, but maybe you should have thought about it before.

    I currently have around 80% of all items available in 8 traits and can't wait for more researchs for even longer timers. So, nope, not a valid issue either.

    I have hundreds of Ta for sale if you want. I'm quite sure your 1:500 ratio is slightly off.

    That's weird, I keep seeing people selling all traits for research in /zone chats. The price has even dropped to around 600g/item now.

    i really like the long time for the research, so that crafter have to think and work together if they want to have a whole 8 trait light armor (i learn head and someone learn legs, example).

    aspect rune come from the red runes stone not the blue one so: just open farm the aspect runes stone and not the potency ones, deconstructing rune is not a good way to provide aspect.

    I find it worse that some traits for items are just insanely hard to get... unless you want to pay 4k+ per item from some guy who already got them and now tries to salvage his loss.

    For example, it's nearly impossible for me to find a dagger with traits other than Precise and Sharpened... that makes it really hard to craft sets..

    Limited SHARED space you mean. That not only discourages doing all crafts at once, but also having any alts. Because your alt can't have a different craft than your main - he has no space for it. I know, I have to waste a big number of slots for plants on my alt.. and I already gave up enhanting, as I was already twice higher level than I could craft, so I moved all runes to guild bank for others..

    The research times are more than fine, and in fact I would have preferred that there have been some traits simply more rare period. The concept of we all must be equal and crafting must be balanced has IMHO hurt crafting in games overall. I do not feel that every single crafted item in game that used any table, any level of char skill, and any upgrade mat, should be alike. There should be crit chances based on many things. Giving dedicated crafters the opportunity to compete in this backward economy. All crafters making the exact item regardless of ANYthing is more anti-craft enviromental for me than anything.
    I am, however, a minority who feels that crafting needs random stats and that all items the same color should NOT be equal.

    As far as your "Aspect Rune" issue... well saying this as politely as possible... Learn the game you play. If you were the dedicated crafter you claim to be, then you would know that getting aspect runes is not an issue at all.. In fact could not be more far from it. I am a dedicated crafter/farmer.. I maintain a count on hand of 100 Ta, 100 jejota, 50 Denata, 50 Rekuta, 25 Kuta... anything over that amount isnt sold it is taken to the mule. At an on hand of 24 KUTA. Then it's harvest time. NOT spam the city for an hour you will pay 3k for one. You can farm a Kuta in that time frame. Hint.. SPOILER.. There are places in this world where ONLY aspect rune nodes spawn. You may have to slip on big boy pants and clear mobs at an alarming rate from that area, but with great NODEs should come great risk and work.

    The only anti-crafter feeling that I see.... Why should the guy who just buys raw ore and refines it so he can over price the upgrade mats be able to control an economy? I promise you.. that same person charging 3.5k for a Kuta and 1k for a Cura. Will not offer you 4.5k for the finished product.. The guy charging you 3k per temp alloy.. 1k per Grain, 500 per Dwarven, 100 per honing.. WILL NOT ever pay you the 21,000 gold base price for 1 armor part. The guy spamming his Consumate YADA YADA recipe x3 for 1 million each WILL never pay you.. well I'm just going to say anyone fool enough to pay 1 mil for a recipe should NEVER get into the retail business. You would have to play this game for 10 years selling the end product (where you aquire all mats FREE) for 250g each to see any ROI at all. These above thoughts are anti craft oriented to me..
