'Cannot swap weapons now'

I know the perma cc is supposedly getting fixed soon, and maybe weapon swap... but what about the others?

Awkwar running animation -> Upper body in combat, lower body not in combat

Biting Jabs, Knockback arrow (forgot the skill name) skills perma knockback, only way to break out is to dodge roll or block

Yes all these really stop eso pvp from standing out as a top choice. These must be prioritised along with server and fps lag.

I cant for the life of me figure out why they've got it so you cant swap weapons..unless you're maybe stunned?

Targeting really gets to me. It almost seems spiders and rats are a priority because in a battle against 5-10 mobs my character seems to want to target them over the mobs actively attacking him...

Stuck in combat bug frustrates the hell out of me in Cyrodiil. Having to run the whole way because the game thinks i am in combat and thus cannot mount. So what even if i was in combat, if i want to mount my horse and risk getting knocked off and stunned, let me do it!

If they didn't, you could potentially craft many different weapon and armor sets and then switch them up on the fly while fighting. For example, if you're fighting a ranged enemy, there are sets & weapons that would give you an advantage, but then if a vamp comes charging forward, hitting a hotkey tied to a gear switching addon would have you fully suited up to kill vampires.

It's not their intention to let us change gear during combat like that, if it was, it would be built into the game, therefore they have to block the ability for an addon to do it.

HUH?..it IS built into the game. "At level 15 a second weapon slot is opened for you so that you may change your weapon during combat"

Oh, he didn't mean you couldn't swap between bars, he means you can't replace your armor & weapons with ones from your bag, during combat.

The addon doesn't do it..I have that addon..you have to wait to be out of combat to use it.

Well, Tintinabula questioned why you wouldn't be able to switch weapons during combat. I gave my opinion on why I thought the developers would prevent it. But, it turns out that Tintinabula thought OP was talking about swapping between your two equipped weapons being blocked, which it is not. What is blocked is taking out weapons and armor from your backpack and trying to replace your equipped gear... during combat.

I'm pretty sure that actually is the point of this thread and you misread or misunderstood.

In case you aren't aware, during lagfest fights an error pops up in the top-right corner of the screen that says "Cannot Swap Weapons Now". I've had this happen often and people that I group with often complain about it as well. No, these people are not trying to equip different gear or weapons, they are trying to use the hot-key that swaps to their off-hand weapon set.
