Alchemy - Same pots, different stats

Today a guild member and I noticed that even though we were making the same potion, we were getting different stats.
We both were using Bugloss, lady smock, and Water Hyacinth.
Using cloud mist
We both are Level 50 in alchemy
We both have all 18 skill points in Alchemy
He has NO jewerly, armor, or weapon that has an Alchemy enchantment.
My pots give me
300 spell crit for 10 sec
428 health immediately and 290 over 10 sec
428 Magicka immediately and 290 over 10 sec
His gives him
390 spell crit for 10 sec
556 Health and 370 over 10 sec
556 Magicka and 370 over 10 sec
Does anyone know why?
