Tanking templar builds/advice?

I started out my templar months ago, with the intention of being a heavy armor/2handed paladin-esque character - damage with some supporting heals, and some tankability. That was before I knew the game required you to use a dress and stick to be worthwhile. Since level 10-15 or so, I've swapped from the heavy armor/2h build to a resto staff / destro staff and light armor. My templar is currently level 42, and when the free respec rolls around with the next big patch I'm planning on going back to a melee-oriented build now that some work is actually being done to help that situation out.

My current plan is to run two handed on one bar and 1h + shield on the other. I'll probably use 2 heavy / 5 medium or 2 heavy / 5 light (undecided yet) for armor - I've tanked on other characters and found that better resources tend to outweight the benefits of full heavy armor. I still like the heavy armor look, however, so I use heavy shoulders and chestplate with the other 5 slots for resource management.

On my 2handed AoE bar I'm looking at either carve or brawler from the 2h line as a primary aoe damage and stamina dump (have another thread here about which of those would be better for this build), with explosive charge as an aoe gap closer, radiant ward for aoe damage and the damage shield, puncturing sweep for magicka-based aoe damage and the self healing, and repentance on the bar as a burst heal/stamina restore as enemies start dying.

On my 1h/shield bar, I'm looking at shielded assault for the gap closer + damage shield, Ransack or pierce armor (probably pierce armor, not quite sure yet) for a taunt, Puncturing sweep, radiant ward, and repentance.

Obviously the idea behind the build is to use a lot of damage shields for reduction, and repentance to regain stamina while blocking/taunting, with puncturing sweep for my primary source of self healing.

Anyone else out there running a similar setup at the moment, or have any opinions on the build or the equipment? I'm torn on light armor vs medium with puncturing sweep - since medium armor would cause more damage (and thus more healing) by raising crit chance, and would also benefit my blocking/taunting/cleave spam, but light armor would allow me to use radiant ward and puncturing sweep more often.

Also, if I put 49 points into health will I even have enough magicka and stamina to make this hybrid-resource build work? Or is it better to go something like 18-13-18? as an even magicka/health/stamina split?
