NEED HELP with strange color bug

Hey guys,

For the past days, I've had this strange display bug with one character where his world seems to be always at night.

The strangest thing is I have 3 toons, 2 display ok, only one has the problem and all 3 have exactly the same display settings.

Here's what happens: when loading my mage character in Greenshades or Grahtwood, I first get a black screen with all UI display in full colors on top of it, then after a couple of seconds, the game image loads with all colors washed in shades of blue (funny thing is it also loads unsheathing its weapons for some reason but I'm not sure it is related). Only the game display is washed out, the UI is fine.

At first, I thought it was night in game, but after a couple of days of this, I figured something was wrong. It cannot be ALWAYS night. Here's how it looks for my Aldmeri mage (exterior and interior which should not be affected by a "night" effect):

Now here's how night looks for my 2 warrior characters in Daggerfall - you can clearly see the difference, the image is darker alright but you still can distinguish the colors in armors or landscapes.

Again, all display settings for all 3 characters are perfectly identical. Only one has that game color problem.

Anyone had this before? Any idea how I can fix this?

Many thanks in advance

You're stuck in a quest, and need to hand something in.

^ Could be that. Stuck with a quest where it is darkened due to something bad going on or Molag Bal is wreaking havoc over a town. So whenever your there the sky will always be dark.

Uh... not that I can remember... nor does my quest log say so. But that's a possible explanation I did not think of...

If quest log says nothing then it's also possible the quest did not "complete" enough to let you out of the quest effect (the blue colour stuff), and you just need to run past area. There are two or three quests that give this effect as far as I can remember in that area, just run around the map maybe something will fix up.

I had this problem porting to a friend midquest. I had to do something in the quest to fix it, but dying might also work.

I did run off the map, I even had my toon teleport out of Greenshade back to Grahtwood. But yeah, that may be a quest bug rather than a display problem, it makes sense. I'll go check in game.

Thanks for your help guys. You were right, I was stuck in a quest (one of Naemon's quest in Greenshade) I had given up 'cause I could not reenter the zone after going back to town to unload my inventory. It was like I was hitting an invisible wall blocking the trail, even my daedric summon guy kept vanishing. I had not been able to trigger the "end-of-quest" conversation and completely forgot about it. Some QuestEnd trackers do look like Beginning ones when the only indication in the quest log is "Speak to WhateverHisName".
Anyway, I managed to get back there today teleporting and it worked, I could enter the zone and complete the quest - so I'm back in full colors again.
After being through so many bugs, you tend to forget not every odd is a bug... Lesson learnt. Thanks again

There is a quest that you go into a sleep/dream stage...I had this too....you have to abandon the quest or if I remember you have to go back to the area you completed the quest at...something about running along the road where the quest ended. Do a Google search for "blue color" or "stuck in dream" teso...it took me a few days to figure it out. I don't have exact act link but this should get you close
