Change 2 Crafted Sets:

Proposed changes that will help all the people on the forums upset with the upcoming set changes.

Willow's Path:
(2 items) Adds 10 Magicka Recovery
(3 items) Adds 5% Spell Critical
(4 items) Adds 10 Magicka Recovery
(5 items) Increase Magicka Recovery while in combat by 20%

Twilight's Embrace:
(2 items) Adds 118 health.
(3 items) Adds 4% healing taken.
(4 items) When you are healed, gain 10% additional healing.
(5 items) Adds 5% Spell and Weapon Critical

This will make all those upset with upgrading there gear to legendary quality still get the stats they created the gear for.

I have the above 2 sets in legendary quality and use them on my Sorc. Ill likely not use them after the patch, but I am 100% ok with that. Overall I am loving the changes to the sets.

They dropped Magical Crit for a reason.

Swap the 4 and 5 items on Twilights to keep it in line with all the other sets (2, 3, and 4 items = stat increase; 5 items is the set's "special").

What reason exists such that lowering magical crit was the only and best solution?

Magicka vs stamina balance. Without homogenizing both.

Is this a response to my post?

I'm currently wearing 3 piece aether 5 piece twilights. After this patch all I need to do is put 2 more pieces of aether on and find a 3 piece set with some nice bonuses and my spell crit is higher than it was before. At least as far as for people that run the trials, this is not the worst thing that has ever happened.

Just don't turn Spell Crit into Health Recovery or Health. Nobody who focused on Spell Crit was looking for tanking stats on their gear.
    Snit AD Sorc
    Ratbag AD Warden Tank
    Goblins AD Stamblade

I'm gonna be one of the few who disagree here. Stamina based builds have been sub-par since day one and the 1.3 changes are an attempt to help them out a bit. Sure I don't like my favorite crafting leveling sets have changed but I'll adapt and so will everyone else. There's no point in nerd raging over changed sets at this point anyway since it's still PTS. Besides this is a change MOSTLY for leveling folks and not those who already run Trials like @rashkosh127ub17_ESO said. If you also look at the dropped PvE, BOE sets, they just got better with more set bonuses.

They want to make sets more stamina build friendly to fill in more stats without having to overbloat medium or heavy armor passives further. They want Willow's Path more in line to be useful for everyone not just casters.

The willows path suggestion you make would work....but two things...

First, how on earth are you going to get 10 crafted items equipped...only possible to get 9 if you are DW.

Second, your suggestion for Twilight's Embrace breaks the entire thing they are trying to do with making the "Major" set bonuses 5 set. You would have to swap item 4 and 5. Even then...you would still not want to give up a staff to pick up the 4 set for 5 more critical.

You wont be able to get 10 crafted items. That is not changing this patch, and like previous a player will still only be able to obtain a 3 piece willow and a 5 piece Twlights Embrace for a total of 10% spell crit.

I also could not care less one way or another, because overall I see the changes being made as great even with the above 2 set changes. Most people over value the Spell Critical to DPS gain ratio. With the other set changes, my Sorc will have more dps. My Templar will have a better Paladin type build. My DK will have a better weapon build. And my NB will be twinked for the non Vet Campaigns. I also mainly pvp and rarely do anything else.

The set changes are going to make Stamina builds much more viable. Adding Spell Damage on the many set pieces will give some more jewelry enchanting options.

The biggest issue I see is it is also making Destuction Staffs even more powerful if a player stacks Weapon Damage and increases their Max Magicka. Impulse will even be more deadly. I expect an Impulse build will be seeing near 15%-25% damage boost from the changes.

I think he only want 3 x Willow's Path and 5xTwilight's Embrace an than he dont need to change anything on his set like many others who are basically on crit.

If you dual wield or use sword/shield you can get the 5 set and the 4 set.

There is no reason to move a 5 set bonus to 4 set bonus other than your own selfish desire. And willows embrace change is fine as it is. You're only making the set magicka specific with your change, when the new set is currently good for everyone. There are some other magica based sets you should take a look at instead.

Actually now that they are adding in more set bonuses, it goes back to being unfair that 2h weapons only count as 1 item towards set bonuses while dual wield and 1h/shield can get 2 item bonuses from it. 2h weapons (bow, staff, 2h melee) should start counting as 2 items.
