Would you like to see guesting to other campaigns disabled?

You fight for your faction in your home campaign. You move with the ebb and flow of war in Cyrodiil. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose.
Then there are other people, they join a campaign only to receive the buffs, but never play in their own campaign, leaving it empty. They rather come to the campaign where you fight daily, just to steal scrolls, farm AP, get killed and lose the scroll again. All the while filling up the campaign and making the actual inhabitants of said campaign wait in line.

I would suggest to disable guesting to other campaigns, so that random groups of people from other campaigns cannot join your current campaign and do whatever they like to do that doesn't really benefit your faction at all.

No. I like to receive the buffs from my dead home campaign and then join a different campaign because I don't like fair play.

If all the campaigns are consistently high population, I'm OK with a higher cost to guest on other campaigns.

However, it would be rather problematic if some players get stranded on a low pop campaign, with no way to earn enough AP to change campaigns. Or stuck on a campaign with population so high that they can rarely log in to participate in the game.

Just disable the home/guest campaign designation entirely.

Once you set your initial campaign, there should be one big, fat, JOIN CYRODIIL button that allows you to go PvP. If you want to change campaigns, then you should have the option and be taken to the campaign screen, however, home campaign bonuses should be taken from the campaign you've spent the most amount of time in over the last week or two and not some stupid designation that may or may not mean anything.

So... from what I am understanding, if they were not guests you would still not be okay with it because they don't play how you like them to. Got it.

That would work if we were all on the same campaign, but I don't think the server can handle that many people.

The point is that you join a dead campaign where your faction owns everything and nobody plays just to receive the buffs, then go guesting in a different campaign complete with all the buffs from your dead home campaign. So not only do you occupy slots designated for the actual inhabitants of said campaign, you also play there with a distinct advantage due to the buffs from your dead home campaign. I doubt this is intended and/or desired.

With 1.3 dropping in August this feeling will be moot.

Guesting at the moment is fine, yes we have buff campaigns we have Wabba(NA) and we have\had Celarus. PVP is what you make it to be ultimately. For big organized groups, they will excel in keeping maps for buffs when they need it, and will fight tooth and nail to keep it; smaller groups may as well, depends on the environment and the people within the zone.

Currently the idea of getting your buffs then grinding AP out on Wabba waiting for something to happen at home is a nice option. Especially when you have nothing to do in your home campaign. I'd love to see action nightly on my home, but the past few nights were quiet so I went to Wabbajack to mess around with a new build.

It also allows groups that are being hard pressed to call for assistance and not be locked into an unwinable war and having to drop 100K AP to leave is just... unreasonable in some cases.

As much as I dislike guesting, I dislike polls like this even more.
Phrasing the option you don't like to make everyone who chooses that option to look bad makes the whole thread look dumb.

Look, Burt (that is your name, right? Last name, Hutt?) just because your home campaign is popular as a guesting spot, or just because your team is outmatched, or whatever the real issue behind this is, does not mean that guesting is broken, unbalanced, unfair, or anything of the sort. Suck it up and get back in there instead of making polls that make you look like, well, a huge whiner.

    Biased unprofessional poll.

Most of us like to guest so we can play with members of different guilds. nuff said, just because you're losing your home campaign doesn't mean you can **** all over our fun.

yes i would like to see it disabled.

HOWEVER, the only way i was able to get "unstuck" in cryodiil was by going to another campaign as a guest. because there is no /unstuck, /stuck, /death in cryodiil sooo ... how you gona get unstuck if you cant leave the campiagn and your stuck in a rock or hard place unable to move?
    serious question.

I realize that the 'No' option is worded in a silly way, that's the whole point of the post. When it comes down to it, a dislike for fair play is exactly the reason why these people guest in other campaigns with the buffs from their dead home campaign. I guess I should have added a second 'No' option for people who do like fair play, but also like guesting to other campaigns, but the forum wouldn't let me edit the poll.

Biased but true, completely disabling guesting would improve AvA quite significantly. I would really like them to consider doing this once they move to 5 campaigns. Also kill travel to player lol really silly that they increase lockout but leave that in

So you think it's perfectly fine that you can join a campaign where nobody plays, own everything, receive all the buffs and then go and distort another campaign where there is actual PvP going on with people who don't like joining dead campaigns solely for the buffs?

To each his own I guess.

how about no, there is nothing going on in my campaign so I am here to pvp. I swear some of the polls just show how limited thinking is here. there could be many reasons someone is guesting, not just your limited view of why.
