I confirm the fps problem was fixed for real this time, by the hotfix which came after todays regular patch.

Cyrodiil is totaly fine now, even in huge fights. (at least untill the next patch XD.. u know what I mean)

Just to add, in my opinion they removed the new lightning system, at least in cyro.

So then you're back to pre-patch FPS and not just an increased amount of FPS compared to how it was yesterday?

The FPS issue seems to be gone but for me...however.. its been replaced with 5-10 second complete screen freezes....so I don't know.Out of the frying pan into the fire?

I am back to prepatch fps.
What is more important there is no GPU performance drops anymore.

After two hours of PvP with massive battles no fps drops here. On a side note: The 'repair bug' seems to be fixed as well.

But I encountered a (at least for me) new bug: After being killed in PvP and repawning in a keep I can't use the transitus system anymore and have to relog to fix this problem.

Subscription cancelled due to the following facts:

    - Zenimax implements more bugs from patch to patch
    - Zenimax does not care about the increasing instability of the game. People have more and more crashes Fix of memory bug decreased number of crashes considerably
    - Zenimax has still not fully fixed the fps drops they (!) implemented with patch1.2.3
    - Zenimax does nothing to fix the massive ability lags in PvP
    - Zenimax gives more attention to unnecassary 'content' like dyes for armors than fixing issues
    - In patchnotes Zenimax lies about bugs allegedly fixed
    - Zenimax has no plan as to how balance population in Cyrodiil campaigns
    - Support is ineffective and does not even speak in a way one can linguistically understand

    it's not like pre patch.
we have a simple increase of fps compared to the last few days

but prepatch, even with a drop of fps during huge battles, it was still fluid.
currently, when the fps are dropped, it's still playable BUT it stutters a lot.

So they haven't really fixed the issue...rather they improved the fps to where it's somewhat playable instead of being unplayable. Thanks for the info!

played for 2 hours. The FPS problem we are talking of FROM WHAT I HAVE SEEN is gone ( GPU no longer going bye bye and running 3 fps off CPU ) people that are saying only minor FPS gains don't understand what was wrong in the first place.

In my case, the performance in Cyrodiil following this hotfix is a bit better than what I have experienced during the past couple months (prior to patch 1.2.3).

I'm getting around 25-40 fps in high pop cyrodiil campaign with audio sound effects turned on, AA enabled @ 1280x720, medium textures, medium subsampling.

It's dropping down to 8-12fps only during battles involving very high numbers of players, and when it is dropping, it is a bit more playable it was than during large battles prior to 1.2.3. The frame rate seems to improve again on its own, without requiring relogging.

Hi, all. We're thrilled to hear that today's hot fix helped to resolve performance issues for some of you! That said, we know that some players are still seeing performance issues and would like to assure you that this hotfix is part of an on-going effort to address these issues.

In order to get the information to the Dev Team quickly, we ask that those players who are still seeing FPS problems head over to this thread to let us know. Thanks!

Keep in mind that the new lighting will have some sort of effect on FPS. So all the comparisons from pre 1.2 arent completely apples to apples. You were going to see a slight drop in FPS just due to the fact that there is more your computer will need to process.

It did not "resolve" anything. I understand that after 14 days (or more) of horrible perfomance ppl now think that having 15-20 fps is ok, but it is not, before the patch in big fights i had 40 fps, now i m half down. U might slightly increase performance, but hell no, it is not SOLVED. Game is far from enjoyable.

(talkin about pvp, dunno how is pve)

Ok so my FPS dropped from steady 60 to 25-45 after 1.2.5. I am now back to steady 60 and this is what I did:

Did not work for me: Deleting UserSetting.txt and ShaderCache.cooked as well as setting GPUSmooting to 0. That did not work.

I then tried to think of any changes I made to my system today and all I did was download and install MSI Control Center.

I uninstalled it and also did a repair on the ESO launcher. So I cannot say which one did the trick, but game is as smooth as before. Hopefully this might help some.

You're missing the part where their was a patch for FPS at 2:30 this morning.

After the fix released today, I can honestly say that ZoS has resolved all of my FPS issues in PvP.

Great work guys! i feel though it may not have been a 100% fix for "all" *for me* its night and day.

Keep up the hard work guys!

I'd recommend switching back the "SET GPUSmoothingFrames" to "10" in UserSettings.txt.

    Assuming you made that change.

Much better after fix, although like some others FPS is lower overall on the high end than it used to be just a month ago. Screen tearing stop action slide show is now a movie (15-30 FPS). It is playable now and I'm thankful for that.

Before this morning = 2 weeks of totally unplayable PvP and hardly playable PvE
After this morning = I can play

I think this is a huge difference, at least in the case of my system.

Said so... Learn from this experience ZOS. Learn.

Fix worked, thx to Zeni devs, and mostly @Zos_JessicaFolsom for all communication, keep up good work Jess :)

7 hours non stop in Cyro, 3 on Auriels Bow(EU) as guest, 4 on Dawnbreaker(EU) home. Big battles at AB, never went below 30 FPS(was as low as 0.8 before...), smaller battles at DB with constant 60+ FPS, with siege weapons etc etc.
If FPS goes down in big battle, it will recover instantly after death(had to relog earlier to get that).

Just to give you some data, guys in /zone saying same, no problems with FPS since last hotfix.

I know it is different per PC, and others may not see such improvement. If it is true, sorry to hear it was not fixed for all of us. But for some(most I dare to say?) it was, so , as much as it can be annoying, just give them few more days to fix it for all of us, as obviously they know what is wrong now.

Enough talk, time to kill more bananas ;) Thx Zeni again, and hope itll be fixed for all of us within few days.

Yea, playing on auriels for 10 hours now, zero fps problems.
    Yesterday it was completely unplayable.

    but

The server is freezing here and there again. You have to alt+f4 and relog.

And until it's back to where it was prepatch....they won't get a penny from me. It was fun while it lasted though. Guess I'll just check back here and on reddit from time to time after my sub expires.
