Still 4% GPU Usage + No Spell Effects 1.2.5

Well, with the latest "fix", my GPU usage still drops immediately when a fight breaks out.

Currently in a ~20 person fight I drop to 4% GPU usage Red Frames, and I'm no longer seeing spell effects. I'll update this as I test more.

3 FPS - 20 FPS.

-No spell effects in fights.
-Objects are now failing to render.
-Sounds are still delayed and not working properly.
-Players are invisible, friendly and enemy. (Not all players just some)
-Lack of character animations, both spell and weapon swapping.
-Guards and enemy NPC's not visible while taking a keep vs. no defenders. 20 players total.
-Resource flag + Guards not visible upon taking with 20 players.

If your GPU isn't fully used, it's limited by CPU.

Try to increase graphic quality - it won't change your FPS but you will at least see better textures, effects and well... graphic will be better.

I've already tried my graphics settings. I've tried default, minimum, custom. All special effects such as "bloom", "distortion", "depth" toggled on and off.

The thing is, it ran perfectly prior to the 1.2.3 Patch, I shouldn't have to run with 0 Particle Density, 0 Sound, and NO textures. Oh yeah, even all of that doesn't fix the problem anyway =(

Lol I'm playing 12h everyday. I just said what he can do to get his experience better.

Everyone know about this FPS issue. But it's limited by CPU. If it's limited by CPU, then your GPU is waiting for work... So let your GPU work more by increasing graphic quality, so you can at least have better graphic in game!

Is this easy to understand? ;) Or should I explain more?

On ultra high I still get 1-4 FPS, Graphic settings do not matter... Let me repeat.. GRAPHIC SETTINGS DO NOT MATTER.

If you must play on that 5 FPS, you can at least enjoy beautiful slideshow... ;) So... GRAPHIC SETTINGS DO MATTER. You get better looking frames with the same amount of FPS.

PS. Changing graphic settings of course has nothing to do with FPS in this case. It's just because CPU won't let you have more than few FPS, so by changing graphic you can get prettier frames, not more frames.

The same goes in reversed way - if your GPU is always fully used and your CPU isn't, changing graphic by turning it down a bit can increase CPU usage and/or decrease GPU usage.

Actually you might buy yourself some time by setting particles to low, but in the end what you said is true - you will end up with low FPS at some point.

But my post isn't about this issue or how to fix it. It's how to increase GPU usage AND get prettier graphic without losing more fps. :) Everyone know that they need to fix this *** ASAP.

Somewhere between patch 1.2.2 and 1.2.3, Zenimax's coding for how our PCs managed the division of work between CPU and GPU changed enough to royally pooch the game...

The effected areas may be local to our home systems... but the issue's origin is ENTIRELY ZOS.

Their lackadaisical response to the problem, and the outright disdain they've shown to the paying customer over it, are mindblowing in the extreme!

It really leaves one wondering whether this is a professional outfit or not.

I knew this wasn't going to be fixed today.

@ZOS_JessicaFolsom‌ (aka hottie with a body) will release a statement that they have yet another fix planned. It will be announced tomorrow or Wednesday. It will also say that the fix is schedule for Thursday along with regular maintenance.

It won't be fixed Thursday either.

When the lag first arose they really thought they had it figured out with an unscheduled hot fix. Hope you all remember that. All the "fixes" now come with routine maintenance to buy time. They seriously don't know how to fix it. If they even thought they had a fix they would send hot fixes 2 x a day everday till it was fixed.

For the sake of argument, I really hope I'm wrong. I love this game even if it is carp. Love @ZOS_JessicaFolsom more .

While I also did this.. I already see what's really going to happen.. the suit will get a big fat bonus in 3 weeks time when this issue is fixed and they run the numbers and only see that they got a 10% increase in subs, ie the people re-subbing because PvP is playable again (forgetting that 20% left over the issue).
