Ah hijacking the thread but yeah this has gotten to ridiculous proportions. These guys, all three alliances (I'm on DC too) and yes I have confirmation from members of both EP and AD in tells, that they are Emp farming, is making pvp unplayable on this campaign. It's such a pity as the 2 week campaign idea could of and should of been a good thing.
Not only that but then these paper emperors go into a new campaign and get totally owned bu some guy who has probably never pvp'ed before (at least not in ESO) its ridiculous. they make the entire title worthless and ruin pvp on Celarus for everyone who actually wants to try and play as intended. By which I mean, win the campaign, even if you don't actually win its trying to win that counts. And they don't even pvp. This is pve in a different form because the other alliances don't or won't defend the keeps, bar 1-2 guys who dont realize that they have been suckered by their team mates placing dozens of oils etc in the outer keep, often in quite neat little rows, to prevent them from placing any siege themselves. Or at least limiting the number of siege these guys can place. So they get wiped by a zerg of 20-30+ spamming aoe skills with 0 help from their alliance.
Yes its both happened to me and I've seen it happen to others and reported it as well as the comments made when me and my guildies started destroying the oils.

Its stupid and pathetic.

I believe Emperor should be worth something and both the alliance and the current emperor should want to keep it and fight for it and should be proud to have achieved that title and got the costume.

But the buffs for former emperors? Actually I dont mind those if the player earned them but they should be restricted to the campaign that player earned them in and that's it. There should also only be 1 person who has former emperor buffs, and that is the guy (or girl) who was the emperor before the current one. Let anyone else keep the outfit. But they lose the title, no swapping buffs around and no farming emperor for buffs. If people want to farm for the cosmetics, well fine but they should lose the other benefits. Hell, I wouldn't even mind if they increased the buffs for the former emperor slightly then.

It would actually mean alliances fought for the emperorship and tried their damnedest to retain it for one of their own or fought to get it back.

BTW, DC now have Emperor. fuinny that we couldnt find anyone to defend before, yet as soon as the last emperor was announced 30+ DC turned up.. at least 5 had former emp tags...

yes - they'll devise all kinds of strategies - and the more you 'interfere' with their emp farming by trying to play the game legit - the more they will try and squash you

currently EP and DC are doing the flipping, so together they cap'd all our keeps and reduced everything to rubble - then the inner circle flipping starts - if red is taking the throne - ALL DC come to faregyl and keep us bottled up there and don't lif so much as a finger to defend their own keeps

if we bypass faregyl it goes under attack and we lose it, or they come and attack us at whichever keep we are trying to attack EP at

once the throne flips then EP comes to keep us entertained at Faregyl

at one point when they were really angry because we held onto Alessia for several hours (a crime punishable by annihilation) both EP and DC were standing side by side in the courtyard charging ults with their resto staffs - they run through the breach in the inner postern, rush upstairs together to try wipe us, the archer and mage guards

they all start spamming pulsar, one of the tactics they love, along with invisible batswarms, and proceeded to wipe each OTHER out lol - we few, we loyal few, we band of brothers, almost pee'd our pants laughing -THAT right there was worth the price of admission alone!!!

Just an update. another faction now has Emperor, the last Emperor has left the campaign, just like the previous DC emperors.

AD & EP are teaming up, well, except for the poor sods who didn't get the memo, wander in and start fighting and are then are quickly wiped out by the 30+.

I keep receiving abusive messages & tells telling me to shut up & stop ruining peoples fun. Well for the moment if burning other alliances 20 oil pots in placed in keeps grounds, fixing walls, taking back resources and DEFENDING any attacked resources is spoiling their fun, then i aint stopping or apologising.

Stopping the former Emperor perks transferring to other campaigns would be a start, but i think that having only ONE former Emperor in every campaign would be better, give the title some value and give an incentive to players to keep & attain the title.
