Dk chains no longer pull up keep walls?

I've noticed after.the recent patches Dks can't pull people up walls is this a bug or bad positioning

    yup - one more thing to thank the certain emperor farmers that were using this, for a nerf that effects the entire community - hope your passives and dicking over an entire campaign were worth it to you

    coming to a campaign to you soon - no more former emperor passives, and changed siege weapon game mechanics

    If they indeed did make chains incapable of pulling up walls, its LONG over due. There's little to no reason to pull people up into your keep. Its very easy for anyone to just jump back down or, if you pull the wrong person up severely hurt you. Mostly people chaining enemies up was only used to exploit keeps or scrolls.

    Chain pull is hardly pointless. Just ask any light armor wearing sorcerer how fast dks chain pull and kill them.

    Think it is a good thing, puts a little plug in for cheaters... and it still work on the actual battle field where it is supposed to be used.

    Having Chain Pull on your bar if it's only useful for pulling bolt escaping sorcs is a waste IMO. It's main utility was always pulling enemies off of keep walls. Dealing with bolt escapers is much easier with a charge, which also has use in other situations.

    It's too bad that the abuse of this skill (in pulling "enemies" up into keeps/walls) led them to destroy it's legitimate use in pulling actual enemies off of keep walls.

    It's just added another advantage to keep defenders.

    I agree.Rather than place an insta kill for anyone who breaches a keep while walls were up which would have addressed multiple problems..they implement a broad sweeping nerf that makes the skill useless. :|

    How on earth is chain pulling an enemy who gets to close to the edge of the wall a cheat or exploit? It was a perfectly valid tactic and kept the mages/bow users cautious of DK's lurking below. I've only tried twice since the patch and both times it would not pull them down, which for me makes the skill useless as that was it's main purpose for me. If this change is indeed intended then i'd like my skill point refunded.

    I am very happy to hear you can no longer pull people up (never was a good idea anyways). I am sad to hear you cannot pull people off walls (though would sacrifice that if it is the only way to stop the up exploit).

    they prolly put coding into check if target AND caster were both ground based.
    If so you're gonna have folks figuring out what the game considers "ground" and a slew of ppl running to walls and columns to fight off them.

    Um.. this game is supposed to have a basis of reality when fights occur. Where have you ever heard of anyone ever pulling someone off of a wall with some sort of ridiculous lasso? Now arrows or other ammunition that flys freely through the air without being attached to someone on one end I can understand, as far as hitting the enemy both inside and out of the keep (unless you DK's think you are some sort of superhero -which is not what the game is supposed to be emulating). The chain pull was meant to be used on level ground where it needs to stay otherwise it should be called an exploit. Now I can say I'd love to see a DK try to pull me off a castle wall with a chain before I fill him full of arrows.

    we have chains shooting out of our wrists..wings that deflect "spells"..banners that drop from nowhere..reality?...LUL whu?

    Only reason I could possibly see the broad sweep of the Y axis pull nerf is due to reflect+pull could be used to pull someone(s) up on the wall. Since reflected pulls send the DK to the target which could be up on the wall.

    Simply changing the reflect of pulls to only reflect the damage to prevent that possible abuse, would work fine. Since pulling noobs not smart enough to hold block near the edge of walls was the skills main selling point for the majority of people not gaming the system with it.

    But that would require more changes in coding and they already did the easy broad sweep of the Y axis.

    Has anyone tested to see if you can still pull people off/on boulders or other elevated positions that are not keep walls?

    Where have you ever heard in the "basis of reality" of anyone teleporting while streaking lightning? Summoning daemonic creatures to fight at their side? Throwing javelins of light from their hands? Becoming invisible to the human eye by simply crouching, using an ability, or drinking a potion? Teleporting through the air to a target? Summoning talons from the ground that grab peoples feet? Throw any sort of elemental spell?

    Last I checked you could lasso things above you or below you...

    I am glad that this is gone. DKs can already tank 10-15 people solo. They don't also need to be able to wall snatch people.

    It's a painful thing if the overpowered class one is playing gets nerfed to a state were they are just equals and not the upper end of the food chain, isn't it? I'm amused by that.

    Still DKs need a little tweaking like a CD on Reflective Scales and higher magicka cost of Dragon Blood (maybe in the same way Bolt Escape got nerfed) and DKs finally will be balanced. I love this idea!

    Subscription cancelled due to the following facts:

    - Zenimax implements more bugs from patch to patch
    - Zenimax does not care about the increasing instability of the game. People have more and more crashes Fix of memory bug decreased number of crashes considerably
    - Zenimax has still not fully fixed the fps drops they (!) implemented with patch1.2.3
    - Zenimax does nothing to fix the massive ability lags in PvP
    - Zenimax gives more attention to unnecassary 'content' like dyes for armors than fixing issues
    - In patchnotes Zenimax lies about bugs allegedly fixed
    - Zenimax has no plan as to how balance population in Cyrodiil campaigns
    - Support is ineffective and does not even speak in a way one can linguistically understand

    I don't know if they realise but DK's are no longer overpowered I'm seeing more NB's and Sorc at the top of the leaderboards now!!

    Stop being dumb and don't fire anything at DK's when they're using reflective scales it only lasts 4 secs and beside there are abilities that can't be reflected!

    The ones you're talking about I have seen myself and they're using some sort of loop hole to make them practically invinsible ZOS need to look into individuals rather than nerf the whole class because as far as I'm concerned it's pretty even to other classes now (DK's that are not exploiting something that is)

    Now a 1h/s DK at siege either should use siege weapon or should wait for the wall to be destroyed. No more ranged skills.

    Yep I'm.the only dk on blood eu to be in the top 10 I think it's filled with sorcs and temps

    I see the need to fix the exploit but it's sad seeing dks stand on keep walls doing nothing cos we don't really have range :(
