Request: No-emperor campaign

That's it, just like the title says. No emperor can be crowned during the campaign.

Personally, I don't think I'd leave this campaign. The emperor thing is nice, but it's gimmicky and brings out the worst in people.

I don't need an incentive to pvp. I pvp because I like pvp.

No. It provides incentives where there is hardly any, also a good reason to take the keeps around the imperial city.

I don't need an incentive to pvp, as long as i can just wreck face.

No one needs an incentive to PVP. You can get out there any time you're feeling foggy and slug it out with someone. You do however need an incentive to fight an uphill battle; ie attacking a heavily fortified keep, when outnumbered and death is most likely more certain than not. How do I know this? Closed beta. They ran into this exact problem of people not wanting or having the motivation to fight for keeps or defend them when outnumbered.

If you guys are having issues finding a PVP battle, I suggest you hit up the foundery and post there you're looking for some nice 1v1's, 2v2's 8v8's etc -- I personally like to wait for the trash-talking tells to come rolling in (eg "you're not so tough without those oil pots" and reply "want to 8v8 without oil then?" :) Usually if you don't even get an 8v8, shutting up the trash-talker is worth it) . If you're looking for a zerg fest, it seems that you're not looking for PVP at all, you're just looking to roll the dice and hope no groups focus targets you.

1v1's and 8v8's are a really good measure of your PVP prowess, moreso than any other scenario you could find in PVP atm.

Nothing wrong with the Emperor system, its the fact they retain some buffs that screwed things up. Was a terrible design decision.

I prefer open field 16 vs 16's. BG style.

But in any case I do get that as a faction we'd need a huge incentive to PVP an uphill battle.

    Here it is:

Once you (as a faction) control 6 inner keeps, you get 300 HP 300 MP 300 STA 5% combat magicka Regen. well..something along those lines if that is too OP

    OR

Each keep in the center gives you +50 HP MP STA and 1% Combat magicka/Sta/HP regen. and the more you own.. the more buffs?

You have an interesting point, but I find it to be a bit more interesting when you have to really play a tactician's game (chess if you will) and not just over-power, but sometimes out-smart your enemy in order to get the buff at all.

I do enjoy chess. But even the zergs can be utilized effectively as distractions as you do important things

Or simply outsmart the zerg  Ever try convincing a zerg to ignore the assaults/distractions on your two gate keeps and only defend your gate key keep? It is impossible unless your guild was responsible for systematically placing the only enemy scroll you have there lol. But, I still believe that dumping your money on one keep is a valid tactic and shouldn't be removed.
