Terrain exploit offenders

The gate between Chalman and Bleakers has a top like every structure I'm sure. These folks on wabbajack figured out someway to jump up there..place forward camps and siege weapons.I'm getting tired of exploiters.

Im sure that exploiting terrain..and finding places to go where the devs don't want us to go so you can shoot down on unsuspecting passer byers and not be touched is indeed "exploiting". :)

Well, it's good then that YOU know what the devs want and what they don't want. I presume that in reality it's more like you think the devs would agree with you. Problem is, there is no indication that they actually do.

And so as always: It is not an exploit untill the one who sets up the rules calls it an exploit. Like it or not, Zenimax is God here, not you. You're not even second in command. ;)

P.S.: Greetings from an animation canceller.

P.P.S.: Greetings too from my niece. She hates exploiters too and wants to give you her half finished lolly.

There is INDEED a way I know what the devs want. You see, I alphad this game..I discovered many terrain exploits and reported them and they were rectified.

YOU were the one who tried to sound "smart" by questioning my use of the term exploit.

    ex·ploit
    2 [ik-sploit] Show IPA
    verb (used with object)
    1.
to utilize, especially for profit; turn to practical account: to exploit a business opportunity.
    2.
to use selfishly for one's own ends: employers who exploit their workers.
    3.
to advance or further through exploitation; promote: He exploited his new movie through a series of guest appearances.

Pick one. They all apply. If devs want us at the top of keeps I'm pretty sure they will put steps in ;)..just like if devs want other factions to run rampant through starter areas they wouldn't have heightened the wall 6 months ago when I reported it.

And now for an example I do the same as you and make my opinon the opinion of the devs: If the devs would mind that people go there, they would have prevented it! ;)

    That's a logical fallacy.

What is more important is the obvious intent. All other accessible sections of the area in question have stairwells. This shows obvious intent that the Devs intend people to go to these specific areas. The places in question, as noted by the OP, do not have any indicative intent that they should be accessed.

If players are able to access an area, which there is no clear intent that they should be able to access, then this by very definition is an "exploit"; or fully defined: an exploitation of the game's mechanics.

The game's mechanics suggest there is no intent to allow a player to travel to these areas. The mechanic-model is pseudo-realistic, in a sense that sheer walls are not meant to traversed, as is evidenced by the gravitational and physics mechanics of the game.

As such, getting to these areas is indeed an exploit.

If there are no invisible walls around certain areas to keep people from going places its not rly the players fault for finding them.

Mentioning that you can't attack people in that particular spot is BS, caus you can, with siege, and even from the ground if they stand on the edge.

If this is indeed exploiting i'm sure the devs will reply and state it is, if they know or figure out how to get up there

No it is more that banning people over it is pointless. Did they ban over vamp spam? Caltrops? This game's PvP is one exploit after another.

Just be thankful the campaign is over.

They should be banned, its a big difference between a broken skill everyone can do, versus breaking into areas you cant get into because you found a glitch.

The other day we hid in the inner wall keep until they fixed the outer walls and left then re setup seige and hit the inner walls and got called exploiters. L2P people please. OK,

let's also ban DKs soloing trials

    let's ban emp traders

let's ban all day 1 vamps

let's ban anyone who used the wolves in crow's wood

let's ban anom/bala and dc farmers

let's ban people who used the hireling bags before patch

let's ban anyone who bash spammed

    let's ban oil party farmers

let's ban caltrop and merc users

I'm getting tired of typing here, I think at this point we've eliminated about 95% of the subscriber base though.

its not breaking into terrain, its curiosity of where one can go, and btw, only one class has the capability of getting up that particular gate top lvl

They were traveling into Northern Morrowind Gate last night using the wayshrine. I did a slash help when it was happening, and for about an hour after my chat with the help dude.....

Rumors were rampant about a glowy dev banhammering all the little smurfs that decided to exploit.

Wabbajack cleared out pretty quick last night after that. Smurf/blueberry went from 2 ticks to one in the meters.

thats totally different. You aren't supposed to get into that place caus theres measure in place that respawn you at ur own base. going around that measure is indeed exploiting.

Traveling & jumping up stuff where there are no invis walls blocking you to get somewhere might be an exploit after they deem it so after knowing about it now, untill then its just a place only 1 class can get to.

actually no, to get up on the roof of that particular gate you can't tunnel through it with a horse, you have to use a particular skill, which is why i stated only one class can get up there

But you are defending cheating which tells me you cheat, and are using it. So you are only saying these ridiculous statements of innocence because you know you deserve a ban.
