Challenge to the Devs, Guild of Shadows vs ZoS

This one goes out to the developers and ZoS staff, after much discussion amongst our guild and a coalition of EP guilds regarding the future of ESO and pvp we conjured up an idea that we think would be a great promotional move for ESO as we would have it on multiple streams as well as websites and forums, it would bring the Developers and community together, so I would like to propose a challenge for the Devs in PvP for a 16 vs 16 player battle Guild of Shadows vs ZoS, you choose the playing field and the time and we will be there I really think this will be a great boost to the community seeing our Devs in game and having some fun together in good spirited battle, maybe a "capture the keep" type battle! The spotlight is on you! We will eagerly await your reply

You guys lose to us 8 v 16+, not sure how you expect to win an even fight against the Devs. You should try to replicate the circumstances when you beat us: make it 4-6 v 16 when you're inside a keep with your guards and siege. That would be interesting.

Wall of text likely to get ignored. This seems more like a publicity stunt on your end rather than the "promotional move" you mentioned. Also, how will this help promote ESO? Does it really have to be PvP?

PvPing devs might actually backlash with many bad mouthing from the community...Wouldn't you rather them work on their game, I mean even the devs admit that PvP is largely unbalanced where DKs can tank and DPS at the same time, where mages can Burst heavy and self heal at the same time...useless temps / useless NBs....this hardly seems like a good idea right now.

I mean really silly idea and I'm sure there would be others in front of them worthy of a dev duel and yes they should be working harder on fixing bugs and balancing not playing around with this rabble.

First off, you're*. Second, that's funny considering we use exactly zero cheese tactics, let alone exploits. We don't charge/knockdown/talon spam for unbreakable CC (like [snip] does), we don't Impulse brigade ([snip]comes to mind), we don't drop oil on the ground everywhere ([snip]), nor do we ever call out overwhelming numbers to zerg you down. We just win every time against you. I won't claim we're better than everyone; we don't fight everyone and there's probably someone out there who can beat us. We just always fight and defeat your particular guild.

[snip] has already admitted the statistics back it up. We've posted screen shots of our K/D against you which in simplest terms is about 9/10-1 and in real numbers is now in the neighborhood of 45/50-5.

I think it'd be cool if the Developers PvP'd, kind of like Bungie playing Halo 3 with those the rare Recon helmets back in the day.
There could be an achievement for killing a Dev, like there was for Halo. I'm pretty sure it was an achievement or a challenge that you would unlock for killing a Bungie Employee.


Either way, developer presence in Cyrodiil would be pretty awesome.

further that you have to [snip] the fact my english is not great indicates a superiority complex. something you see alot online. and makes me believe that further talking with you about guild vs guild will always end up with. my guild is better then yours cuz of the simple fact.. i say so.

What makes you think the Devs know the first thing about this type of play? In GW2 some Dev did a live stream of their "small man action" He was a clicker, they died non stop, and spent most of the time running around showing interesting places to set up siege.

After that I just assume all Dev's are far to busy working to play enough to be skilled at the game, even against guild of shadows.

They would come in full legendary gear and just manipulate the game. they could hit buttons and suddenly POOF your armor is gone.

I think the idea has merit. Enough merit to actually get ZoS in game to see the actual mechanics on a live server. The learning experience for them should produce positive results. Now that having been said what make you think the ZoS toons don't have better everything I mean I recall GM's in game would have the power of GOD I mean hell I remember an entire planet getting deleted once or players placed in back packs simply because a GM was drunk.

Guild of Shadows. Have to admit you guys have stood the test of time and still the most dominant pvp guild out there. DAoC, SWTOR, etc.

Actually, the content of your message involved two points: grammar and the statement that you are done responding to me, because you refuse to accept statistics of a 3rd party app even though it's the only unbiased measure. (I could just say "you guys are terrible and shouldn't throw out challenges to brain-dead vegetables let alone the developers" but that would be a petty insult without any corroborating evidence, even if it might be true). Thus, my two point response perfectly responded to the content of that message.

I'd really rather see the developers spend their time fixing PvP than PvPing against a sub-standard guild.

I would much rather they fix the issues in Cyrodiil then play a guild no one has heard of on an unknown campaign.

Because, ya know, that's why we pay them a subscription? To fix and maintain the game... not so you can fight them.

Why don't you come to Wabbajack and fight some other people so Permafrost can stop trolling every thread where someone he has fought has lost.

I have never heard of any of you.. It's almost like there's multiple people playing on multiple campaigns that never run into each other in game!

If you haven't heard of order of shadow than you are either zerg or blow in pvp. They've been around in several games for over a decade.

Perhaps we should start a poll to see if the players would prefer developers spending their time fighting some guild they may or may not have heard of or have them do their job developing code to address the plethora of issues within the game.
