In Cyrodiil, every little role makes a difference, even a lvl 10 with the proper items can make a big difference in the outcome of a battle by simply using siege engines, resurrecting dead players, or scouting ahead of his/her party. Here is a list of items that will help you be a lot more useful to your group.

-3 standard ballistas
-2 fire ballistas
-1 Fire treb
-1 froward camp (If affordable)
-20 wall repair kits
-10 door repair kits
-At least 10 Grand Soul Gems

Standard ballistas
These do massive damage to walls and fire faster than stone trebs, when 5 or more people are using these on one wall, the results are obvious. It is not recommended to use these against other siege machines and players as the splash area is quite small and easy to miss your target.

Fire ballistas
Mainly used for counter sieging, do excellent damage to enemy siege machines and lays down a nice fire AoE to deny them access to their siege. Although they do damage to walls, they don't do much compared to standard ballistas.

Fire trebs
Also used for counter sieging, use this when a fire ballista is unable to reach your target.

Forward Camp
Although they are quite expensive, using one right can turn the tide of any battle. Currently bugged so it is recommended you only put one down to use when your whole party wipes. Because they are bugged do not place these at keep resources as this prevents the enemy from destroying them and allowing your group to place another. Instead use it as a mass res and leave it for your enemies to find.

Wall repair kits
Used to repair walls, everyone should at least repair a wall 5-10 times before moving on.

Door repair kits
Used to repair doors. See above.

Soul Gems
Probably the most important thing on this list. They are used to resurrect downed players, this can have a huge impact as it saves group members travel time and allows them to be there at key moments during a battle. You should always res your group leader when he/she goes down as they cannot lead when they are too busy running across the map. Healers also should be resurrected immediately.

All these can be bought by any siege vender found at the main gates of your faction or at resources your faction owns. Try and keep your supplies stocked by visiting a captured resource when you are running low.

Note: this list is in no way complete nor should it be taken seriously, rather it should be used by newer players to get an idea on how they can be more effective in a team.
I take pride in being an incredibly smart dumb ass, or an incredibly dumb smart ass, either way I'm awesome.
