PvP video: Templar with Razer sabertooth xbox controller.

Hello everyone.

I have been playing a Templar since release. I quickly got to vr1 (before the end of early access) and hit a wall trying to grind after that. So I started to pvp.. I quickly found back then (2 months now) that my class seemed very lack luster. So I went on a quest. I spent nearing 500k in respecs. I have most skill lines maxed out, and multiple sets of armor and forged set weapons to suit any whim i may have. I had a hard time finding anything that seem remotely competitive in pvp, or anything I felt enjoyable for farming in pve.

After patch 1.1 took away my biting jabs, I almost quit because at that time I felt like that was the only saving grace I had as a Templar. But I stepped outside the box of biting jabs, and honor the dead and found a couple really nice specs that seem to work well for me. So I decided to share a little video with you guys. I really hope you enjoy it, its not super amazing pvp by any means. Its my first time recording and editing so please let me know how to improve.

Now onto the topic! I recently had surgery on my wrist. So my left arm is in a cast, and I'm using a Razer Sabertooth xbox controller for the few fights, and i have many other clips saved up for another video based on this videos response. So if the camera/aiming seems a little wonky. Well that's just because i suck with an analog stick compared to a mouse, and I'm in a bit of pain.

I'm just going to say nice work on keeping at it and not giving up. Often thinking out of the box will enlighten you. Templars can be beast!

First of, cudos for playing well with the controller, even though like you said, the camera is a bit wonky at times!

Build isn't too far off from what i used to have except lately, i've found some love for meleeing with a resto staff (siphon+jabs is kind of amazing)

I will say though that it seems weird to me that you pretty much only ever use one quickbar.

Yea I don't know if its me, or the game but I always have a delay when I swap in combat, and I end up clicking twice. When the swap finally happens it swaps back. I would love to swap, I just find that its very unreliable.

swap "usually" isn't delayed I find..the animation is delayed. Ive swapped and gone into a new rotation casting staff spells with my sword and board still showing.

Thanks very much! Yeah im raising Templar awareness! Haha, we have some serious downfalls, but man do we have some majorly powerful abilities as templars.

I really enjoyed making the video, so I think I will make another one with dual wield. Also I would like to try a resto staff build, but Its the only weapon I dont have lvl'd.
