I am going to do the unthinkable, fellow NBS. I am going to make a sorc class, and do the light armor staff build that a lot of ppl seem to dislike(and like) some of yall I am sure have seen me... dislike.. the staff build. I am a hypocrite, an unworthy soul, a pathetic individual who is not worthy of life... I will use this class till NBs get a little bit more power, then im getting rid of it and getting back on my NB
ok. now that we got my moral conscience out of the way, what would be a good sorc staff LA build for PvP, excluding the following abilities/tactics:
AOE spamming(I think its called impulse?)
Bolt escape spamming(not that it can actually be done anymore:))
crit surge(I think its a cheap ability, and I think only healers should have that kind of spell)
any ideas will be appreciated.
and if you want to flame me for my terribleness.... go ahead:/

I would recommend resto staff and shards/fury/curse/ward/magelight then

Yeah you don't really need to worry about clicking people to be a healer in this game. And you can target with the tab key - I've never used this for healing because all the healing spells I have are non-targeted but I would imagine it would work.Life of a Nightblade (Screenshot Tumblr)

Tobiz✭✭✭Get a set of Warlock and Magicka furnace. Im on Eu and can sell some pieces cheap, oh 5000g each? Or farm them on appropriate level humanoids. Its the only sets that drops like flies. Get a staff, any green will do till you figure it out what is better.
Then put points in stuff that cost magicka and get used to wondering where the mobs went as you start the fight that used to be about life and death. Turning off autoloot makes the affair slightly more challenging.

i know. I even managed to 1v1 a VR12 sorc with my VR1 NB archer:) I just don't even want to take my NB archer to the higher vet zone sin their current state.A well played/spec'd NB destroys Sorc.. Many have swallowed....my soul while dodging everything (and I don't mean dodge roll).

sagitter✭✭✭✭✭It's really not easy vs sorc, they just spam crystal shard +knockback +animation canceling destruction staff, for an huge amount of dmg around 1k and + mage light and bolt escape u can t go invisible due to the stupid bug. And sometimes seems that they are tougher than a dk, for sure than a templar, thanks to immovable that should be usable only to an heavy armor dresser and the ability to converty stamina to heal and magicka for a good ammount.
Ofc , i killed them but cause only they were noobs, a good sorc is really hard to beat by a NB.Edited by sagitter on 23 June 2014 06:490 -
I like NB more than sorce to be honest. Sorc is my main and no I am not playing it the way majority does. I wear medium armor and a bow. Vet 4 now. Still pretty much useless against vet 12th.
with NB I managed to kill 2 non vets alone. So I am looking forward to non vet campaign as I can see that my level 16 NB can bite if I face another non vet:-)
Against veterans it's bad as I usualy end up with no more stamina and magicka and die. I am dealing almost no damage and it cost me a lot of resource:'(
So against vets it is best to join some group and help them with CC. This works well for me. I ambush someone and team usualy kill him before he wakes up if he wakes up fast I ambush him again:-)
BTW I still don't understand that shadow vanish spell. As per description it is obvious, but in PvP it happend to me so many times that I used it and I was visible immediatly after usage. (it should last for 2,5 seconds).
Yet in some cases a player vanishes right infront of me and I can not find him by any means. (and it is not NB) anyone knows what that skill is? I suppose I have to place some AOE which could help me to reveal them.0 -

NB cloak breaks very easily, If you have a DoT on you, or even If you applied a DoT on an enemy; also any AoE can make a NB visible. It is easier to escape If you haven't tagged the enemy, in that case you just need to get some distance (not much). In addition, some use invisibility potions to gain a little advantage.0 -

✭✭✭I can 1v1 a vet that is around my vet level. right now, my VR1NB can 1v1 vet ppl 1-3 or maybe 4. but at 5 or 6 it ussualy does not end well:/ Dks are actually not hard for me, at least the melee ones. the most difficult enemy for me is a sorcerer, cause a lot of them constantly spam knockdowns, interrupts, and AOEs. my NB is designed to be fast, and to dodge and counter attack.(and sneak) if I cant move im f****. lol. it also does not help that the game does not let me interrupt them:/ my venom arrow IS SUPPOSED to interrupt magic abilities, but it does not, and makes it impossible to take on a player that spams self heals(one of the reasons why VR12s are so hard IMO) anyway, I deleted my sorc char, and do plan to get this NB to VR12, even if it takes all summer. hopefully the update tomorrow fixes some stuff, and maybe makes vet zones more fun to play so I don't have such a hard time doing themEdited by Cody on 23 June 2014 20:200 -
