What do you use that works?
On a number of occasions, I've missed a kill against a vampire because my class finisher (Impale) seems to do no damage at all to them when they have only a sliver of health. I've had instance when a vampire is running from me, they have no wards or shields up, and I hit them 3-4 times in a row with impale before watching them run away (usually because I've been killed by their buddies finally showing up behind me).
I'm pretty sure Undeath is simply neutering my finisher. I've considered using Silver Bolt but the chance of it procing is so low that it doesn't seem like it would be any better. So is there anything else that can be used that's more effective here or do you really just need to brawl it out and hope that they don't think to use a heal potion?

Jaxom✭✭✭✭That's more a function of Impale not working as opposed to the Vampire passive (which, I dont even think Undeath works). I use Impale myself and have noticed if they are just in range and in the process of you hitting Impale, they become out of range, the skill will go off and do no damage. Could be what you are seeing.1 -

There can be a number of times when someone is moving away from you that a close range skill won't fire even tho it looks like it did. I have it happen to me a lot when I use Unstable Flame. joshisanonymous✭✭✭✭Hm, that's both relieving and disconcerting. At least if it was the vampire passive, I could potentially find a better way to fight them. If it's just a bug, that means it can happen in every fight and there's no way around it.
Hopefully any latency optimization that they implement will go towards fixing this. I even specifically started using Impale because it had the extra range to help ensure that I don't end up missing a kill due to being just outside of melee range.Edited by joshisanonymous on 12 June 2014 18:010 -
