Something weird

Yesterday, while in Cyrodiil, something weird happened.
During a small fight, my health dropped from full to zero in a second. I thought that i had been focused by many players, but according to the death recap i had been hit six times by the same player with the same skill, cristal shard. There was no lag, so i am a bit puzzled about what happened, since i doubt that that skill can hit so many times in so little time.
Any ideas?

I've had instances of ability lag like that in NPC zones a couple times. I'd react by trying to heal myself as my health went down, but it wouldn't work because even though I had 50% health, I was already dead, I just didn't know it yet.

I have no idea, but i doubt it. Either death recap bugged, or something happened there.

no animation/speed hack .. people act like these things don't exist but they do ...

I use the skill "Cristal Fragment" (Morf Cristal Shard) and periodically freezes skill, ie I his caste, near my head appears Cristal Shard and revolves around its axis, does not fly to the target, does not damage, while I can still to cast his again and again. After 5-10 seconds skill stop hang. Goal that it cast the get all my caste simultaneously. This bug skill, as it is in PvE and PvP zones. Bug report is sent, waiting for a fix.

Well, CS morphs into CF, which only has a chance of becoming instant-cast.

Raw CS has no instant-cast proc. And there aren't any skills off the top of my head that makes spells instant cast, nor set items that improve casting speed to that degree.

Animation canceling is what makes spells instant. For instance, my understanding is, you can block to cancel the animation and cast it again. Imagine if spammed or macro'd fast enough.
