A completely chaotic arena where the terrain and npcs are a bigger threat than the players.

In a world already at war... PvP Arenas is a madness that can only be supported by The Mad God.

no pve npcs in our pvp arenas, no thanks.

just a simple area with no adds and plenty of kiting room.

Every single MMORPG, and MOBA in the past five years already has this area covered.

There is no point to putting it in ESO... Unless they are going to do something completely off the wall with it.

I think this game is setup very nicely for 10v10. I think this would separate them from other arena styles of other MMOs. ESO will never have balanced PvP unless they implement Duels or something they can look at a character from a 1v1 perspective. There is 0 way to balance 40 v 40. You have DKs that cant die vs 10 players and NB that can 3 hit annihilate people.

They could intelligently add 10 towers within RvR and these towers are the "arenas". Set it up King of the Hill style. Team that wins, stays and keeps a hold of the tower. The tower while held, gives a good Res position and buff to the holding side. Just an idea, definitely not soundproof.

I am kind of hoping there is either random rewards or we have the ability to place wagers. Allowing some spectators would be interesting. Guilds I think could get the most use of this in house to test builds and show new players how they are approaching pvp. Not to mention everyone loves bragging rights.

rewards are not necessary imo

having it in an arena, with spectators who can watch the fights and bet on them would be nice tho

It's not so much that rewards are necessary, I've just never been one to fight for the sake of fighting. Even now that I am spending a lot of time in Cyrodiil it is towards earning a set bonus that is quite costly in AP. I am hoping to find a few of them in the reward chests, but all I keep getting is the Dominion sets.

... there are no good pvp sets worth wearing other than the crit rings+staff and thats only for a sorcs ae bar...

also, i bought both rings for 65k each and the staff for 100k, so ap wasnt needed.

thus, you should be pvping for fun, since realm ranks do nothing right now

You're pretty much the worst kind of PvP elitist and the reason that I'm glad we don't have arenas.

If you need it so badly, set it up yourself. There's plenty of room to do so. It has even been done at least once on Skull Crusher already. And I'm sure you're aware, considering your completely unnecessary credentials in your sig, that it was pretty common for small group events to occur in DAoC.

Arenas = E-sport.

Completely agree.

This game desperately needs small scale PvP.

I hope ZOS wakes up and decides to implement their already developed feature since, you know, making it available to game-show guests but not their paying subscribers makes a lot of sense.

Why have Arenas... DAoC never had arenas and that has had no doubt the best guild vs guild in any MMO out made.

Though gamers are lazy and entitled these days so maybe the community these days can't do what DAoC community did. Just that if Zenimax created arenas we all know they will be implemented badly. Most likely 3vs3 of 4vs4 which is way too small for GvG. Minimum 6 per team (possible 5) and maximum 8.

Arena needs to be the Proving Grounds of Boethia. Like in Oblivion. Be lore friendly and it wouldnt have to have any NPC's

the concept that we dont want arenas because we think they will be implemented improperly is bad imo. give zos a chance
