Ways to Counter DK vamp bat swarm/molten rock rooting thing/banner of dooom technique

See subject. As an intermediate-PK-skill V8 sorcerer, besides constantly having Bolt Escape slotted, is there a good way to break out of this or block it? The normal mouse clicking stun-break technique doesn't seem to work, and even then I'm still right in the middle of a batswarm with molten legs and a deadly banner leeching life out of me.

How much stamina do those normally consume? I've used them but they seem to be particularly difficult to execute in the aforementioned situation.

For a poorly conditioned, fat MMAer? A fair amount, I'm sure.

But in seriousness, DKs are a pain in the ass to kill for a sorc, vamp DKs even more so, best not engage them 1v1 if you can help it. Slot self heals and try to drop negate on his banner. Counter root them if you can. You can purge CC but it's costly.

Throw up some Harden Wards until you can range out of it.

By molten rock thing, do you mean Talons? If so, dodge. It's the only thing that breaks roots. It really doesn't cost that much and, honestly, who cares how much it costs? You're gonna die if you don't do it.

DKs are OP ok. Sometimes there's like 3 of them.

I was joking, the point was how to counter any valid mix of those abilities.

The rest of us have to use dodge roll to escape talons. However, there is a nice exploit that dks use to drain all your stamina before they use talons, so, good luck with that.

They look scary so I stealth around and run out of stamina. :<

Block the initial charge. If you are not knocked down, roll dodge out of the talons.

If you didn't block the charge (why aren't you holding block 100% of the time in combat?) you are now on your back, talons is now on you, and you probably cannot break free, or roll dodge out.

Vamps are the ones that drain stamina I think. Making stamina shield blocking vampire essence draining DK's pretty hard to beat if someone (a zerg) is inside their drain range.

You can simply roll out of talons and stay at a distance greater than 6 meters.
When a DK drops banner, simply roll away from it once. Done. Banner suddenly useless.
Batswarm is harder to counter. Since you are a sorcerer, you can just hit Bolt Escape and you are safe. Remember to block or use immovable while you do that. If the DK manages to keep up with you a couple of time with critical charge or shield charge, use a stun/knockback/knockdown whatever cc you have on him.

used to be sorcs were the most powerful, now its DKs, then it will be Templars, then NBs, then sorcs again.... lol. in all seriousness, simply avoid the area of impending merciless death if you can. I use an ability that knocks them back, then I go invisible(im a NB) and try to sneak away to find allies)which fails a lot. lol). I have played a sorc, but only till about lvl 18 or so(I then deleted her) all I can say, is try to knock them back before they start this OP procedure of theirs, or just try to keep them away.

I think it is adorable you think Templars well ever be more than what we are now. You gotta love an Optimist. It's the only class I play and even I doubt we will see much in the way of a Templar buff. That said I have found ways to be useful, even if it is only for 6-8 seconds at a time then the mandatory wait for resource regen.

They are very strong. The only decent chance I ever had was to BE, roll for the root, BE again. You will be ok if he does not try anything or follow you. If he does there us a very good chance he will just repeat is again by closing in on you. At this point multiple BE is your only chance(in my experience). But now with this recent changes it even more difficult. You will be half if not less of stamina, maybe 2/3 hp and half on magika and the DK and just keep it up if he chose to. Some DK are very bad though and don't know know to keep up with a sorc so those are resolved as is. GL, as it is now, it's really stacked against you but don't give up trying or learning new things.
