How to fix emperor farming.

Set all emperor skills back to 0.

Make it so you can only earn emperor experience WHILE you're the emperor.

Increase the experience needed to level the skills and only have AvA objectives contribute to it.

This way people who have earned the skills are rewarded as they should be. With this system Emperors will be legitimate. If you make it take roughly a week of being emperor time to max out the skill line, no one is going to help everyone else farm their skills and swap back and forth.

Other suggestions are welcome.

Made this thread for ideas, not complaining. We all know Emperor swapping is happening, it's an exploit, it sucks.

Please I repeat, ideas only.

    I'm sorry but, you'd rather have a single individual to have the title and leave noone else with a chance in the world to get the title? Cause that's what you'd get.

    I'll say it again if you want it like this, sure. Let the emperor fight to stay on top of the throne. But to make things a bit more interesting for people who'd like to taste the 'glory' of being an emperor themselves you should remove or lower the AP earnings once said emperor has been crowned.

    Removed the skill line, make the passive and powers available when you are emperor (no cost, no training). deactivated when not emperor.

    Yes of course. But do you understand how it currently works? farming AP as an 'active emperor' is quite a lot more efficient than without.

    Emperor swapping is crap. Zenimax was aware of it in Beta and looked the other way. The only fair thing to do considering the number of former emperors in the game is turn off the skill line when you are not an active emperor. If Zenimax refuses to correct this then the game will be nothing more then farming skills lines. The passives should be freely given to anyone who wants them if nothing is to be done with the players who simply rolled a low pop server with there 100 man guild. I tired of the crap and obliviously Zenimax doesn't care.

    A simple solution.. you can only be emperor once per campaign... if dethroned the and your faction wins emperor again the next highest skill point wise will get the title and what follows... if he is dethroned number 3 in line would get it or make it random top 500 or something...

    Next in line.Stands to reason if an Emperor is "deposed" they're be headed or whatever...they should retain the title and skill line and costume nothing more.

    Current Emps running about farming AP and soaking it in simply broaden the gap way too much for any one else to have a fighting chance.

    Our current two emperors are battling daily for leaderboard and maxing close to 15 mil AP currently.

    Ive also noticed that as a V12 and hitting 2 mil ap I am receiving more AP than I used to for general non specific crap..standing at the the right place at the right time is called "defending ap" while I'm fighting noone.. This system (if I gather correctly how it rewards players based on what) has a snowball effect rewarding those with higher AP MORE AP.

    This is why I'm seeing Emps gaining 1 mil ap every few days.I'm positive I'm making things harder on myself but it really needs to be reworked.

    Let's face it, the emperor farming steams from one single issue.

    Players with way too much free time will sit on the emperor title forever without allowing anyone a chance unless they spend as much time as they do.

    A simple but effective solution would be:

    [*] When you have obtained Emperor status, your leaderboard ranking will reset. You will still keep the Alliance Points you have achieved and you will gain Alliance Points in the same pace as you gained them before.

    This would solve it. The former Emperors will still have a chance (it's gonna take time though) to regain their Emperor status but this also opens up the rank to everyone that is active in PvP.

    This is the problem right there. Everyone thinks they are entitled to the line. Oh when is it my turn, its not fair I don't have that title or abilities. Stop the constant need to swap it around by making the Emperor Skill line have no Passives. It should be active only when you are Emperor and it should identical to the Undaunted line in the no passives aspect. Doing it that way would remove any need to worry about everyone trying to get the title, it would make more people focus on holding their positions. If Zenimax isn't going to fix the guesting, traveling to players, and Home Campaign swapping which are all part of the Zerg issue not to mention the AOE nerfs in theory to stem the zergs, then really it should be a free title and skill line you get when you first come to cryodil. Otherwise its a meaningless / empty accomplishment.

    Back in the day ZOS said not only do you have to take the inner ring keeps to become emperor, but you would have to enter the imperial city and take the throne. Once the keeps in the ring were taken it opened the city. Then you had to enter and do what ever they originally had planned to do to get your emperorship.

    apparently this was not ready to go at launch, but they are working on the imperial city dungeon as stated in May's road ahead, so I hope they tie this old idea into becoming emperor.

    In the mean time, the emperor grind is only happening on low pop campaigns because its easy to do it. With the consolidation of the servers, I believe this issue may be thwarted on most of the campaigns. Even those who have the bonus now, the additional passives, are not game breaking when your not the current emperor. Let them have it.

    "Emp to Plowshares": Remove Emperor skill line from game, and place FACE DOWN into the discard pile.

    /thread
    Force weapon swap to have priority over EVERYTHING. Close enough.
    Make stamina builds even with magicka builds.
    Disable abilities while holding block.
    Give us a REASON to do dungeons more than once.
    Remove PVP AoE CAP. It is ruining Cyrodiil.
    Fix/Remove Forward Camps. They are ruining Cyrodiil.
    Impenetrability needs to REDUCE CRIT DAMAGE. Not negate entire builds.
    Werewolf is not equal to Vamps/Bats.

    AAAA not too bad. However also removing "Former Emperor" benefits would also work as well.
