We did that yesterday, I doubt anybody would fall for it but everybody did.

We was AD 12 players who wanted to have some fun, EP and DC was fighting so we put up this trap along the road.

I protested as I thought anybody would either move well around or keep their distance and call in reinforcements. I wanted a single clanfear or something so it looked like an noob sorcerer sneaking, but majority wanted the nude lady.
I'm glad for it, I laughed so I almost fell off my chair, worse some managed to run into the same trap multiple times, worked until a group whipped us out as we did not changed position.

It never ceases to surprise me the obvious baits people fall for, the stealthing noob sorcerer, the lone non-sneaking noob looking at his map, solo person seemingly afk, etc, etc.

You'd think people wise up and take a long walk around, but Forrest Gump said it best:

Btw, I hope you don't take offense and laugh about it that this comment could also be aimed at your group for staying at the same spot for too long?

Meh falling for traps is part of PVP. I was in PVP and KNEW better and sure enough I saw a player RUNNING by almost sprinting and I think cool a fight. Un sneaked and attacked 5 other players pop outta the bushes and I couldn't have hit the ground any damn faster if I tried LOL.

Usually happens when you wake up after a night out, but stupid is, stupid does applies to us all, so also in Cyrodiil.

yep more fun to spring the trap than avoid it . ha used to act as bait a lot back in warhammer on my innocent looking goblin shaman ..

best bait ever we had 20 witchelf group and 4 healers , all hiding around a corner in a little cubby , i went out as bait got noticed and ran into the cubby, while a 6 man group chased me ,

all the witchelfs stealthed / invised and healers hid behind bushes etc and as they swarmed me all 20 witch elfs poped out of stealth on them haha i can just imagine their ventrillo chat haha .

We just have 11 player sneaking and one player L10 looking at a map, always someone comes running up to try to gank the player reading the map.

But I like the naken dance toon idea.

Its even funnier when you know its a trap, call in like 5 guildies to come check it out and then spring the trap only to slaughter the ambush with one of your own

I won't even dismount, I'll ride straight into that ambush and do everything I can to take down one of them. Then I'll be laughing the whole ride back knowing one of them got ganked when they outnumbered me 10 to 1.

Baiting enemy players is always fun. They never learn.

Another tip. Have one player mount up and begin riding away. Never fails to attract enemies to give chase even though they should have known there my 3-5 friends are still in the area. lol

Honestly, I don't see what is so strange about this. In every game i have ever done any form of WvW in naked dancing is almost always the universal sign of, I'm not really doing anything come join me in my boredom. The fact you took advantage of this is more like hiding a bomb in an Red Cross truck. Just bad form! Shame on you!
