Celarus AD and EP Emperor Farming

Currently on this server both of these factions are actively working together (by whispering each other's leaders while in Cyrodiil) to take the inner ring of keeps so that each faction can crown new emperors quickly and repeatedly. For example, say it is EP's "turn". AD will take every keep owned by DC and then just leave the keeps they own for EP to take in their wake. They do this by zerging all the way around through DC, and when EP wipes all the npcs in the keep's AD owns, they'll have all the keeps to crown their emperor. And then the cycle reverses and continues.

This seems like an outright abuse of game mechanics and should be stopped immediately, in my opinion. It not only dilutes the achievement of emperor but turns off new pvpers who are looking for the real pvp experience that RvR is supposed to bring.

Is this something that is alright with you, or do you disagree with this practice?

Yes it bothers me..and I will be able to recognize these "faux emperors" easily when we pvp them. The usual way to get emp has been a long drawn out battle with a huge quantity of amassed AP not directly related to but having to do a little i think with pvp experience.(not this "drive through would you like fries with that crown?" bullcrap)

Initially I was concerned about the influx of all these "emperor buffed" players but frankly the player makes the title..the title doesn't make the player.

If they got their emperorship easily..it'll be fun to watch them drop like flies when they come up against truly seasoned players.

And you know they are whispering each other how?

Maybe DC is mostly in a different campaign and they are under populated and EP and AD have more people in the campaign. It also depends on time zones.

I know they are whispering each other because I was doing well in a fight and the opposing leader whispered me thinking I was in charge and asking to let them have the keep so they could farm. It has nothing to do with time zones, the people in zone chat are openly coordinating the cycling of keeps to get emperor, it's not a secret in any way, shape, or form.

Take out Celarus experiment and revise it. It is taking away from the other servers and is primarily a Farm. Zone Chat = LFG AP Farm have TS. When XP and AP are consequently lowered then everyone who did not abuse the system will QQ and those who abused it will make fun of them. We see this too often.

As someone who PvPs on Celarus, I can tell you it's not any sort of collaboration.

There is a certain AD guild who will remain nameless that tends to serverhop in order to get the Former Emp title for their players. Typically, when they are not online or on another server, EP on Celarus will take most of the map and crown an emperor. Than, the AD guild will come back and pretty much roll over the map, running two full groups of fairly coordinated players. They take Emp, farm for a bit, leave. And so the cycle goes.

I have seen no evidence of collaborating, or players or guilds cooperating to change emperor. It's a matter of one Guild having a good bunch of players capable or running over the map (when the good EP guilds are not on or are not communicating well), and EP subsequently taking it back that guild is gone or the better EP guilds come on.

you sir are mistaken - since we cannot name and shame here suffice it to say that it has been stated by the emperor farmers, in zone chat no less so plenty of folks witnessed it, that the AD emperor farmers have an arrangement with the EP emperor farmers also in on this 'game'

the fact that when we have defended our AD keeps against EP and gotten /whispers of 'wtf you doing? you guys are supposed to let us take 'em right back' confirms this on so many levels

those of us defending have been told NOT to pvp to allow the EP to retake the keeps

oh and they 'server hop' as you put it SPECIFICALLY to let EP retake the keeps with little to no resistance - not even bothering to repair walls or doors, and once EP retakes them they conveniently 'server hop' back

I'm DC, but I will say things on Celarus are weird. Generally when I go over there... I notice an EP keep on fire, and AD inside it... just standing there, they all look afk. They'll never take the keep, they all just stand there with the doors open.

There's obviously something going on.

Sorry,but they need to take away all those emperorships and rework that..500k ap to get emp is laughable.

this is so that our 'noble' emperor farmers can gain the AP reward for 'defending' the keep - it's usually the AD keep on fire and them standing there doing nothing

Why not have 1 emperor and 2 former emperor (one per faction) that can have active passives at any given time. Once your faction crowns an emperor, the former emperor retains the title but loses the passives. Make the passives a buff that shows up in the character screen and doesn't require skill points to make this easier.

this now balances the flipping and makes sense lorewise. Each faction will revel for their former emperor until dethroned. Old emperors are remembers aka titles but their effectiveness has fadded, ie no more buffs.

On a side note, I hope they remove their Emperor titles since they're *** anyways. We didn't need the titles to gain our lead on Wabba, and we don't need them to maintain it. It's all for personal gain.

So you're the leader of a guild who is farming emperors? Just because you didn't manage to get all of them within your guild doesn't make you less responsible for perpetuating the practice or encouraging it in the first place. You and your guild are no doubt a large part of the reason this is going on and I have no idea how you can even defend your actions, let alone do it so righteously.

Let me clarify, our guild left another server for Celarus because of the drama on the previous server. That guild is mentioning our guild over and over again. Did we come here to farm emp? Technically, yes -- when we evaluated our options it came down to Wabbajack and Celarus: One was just starting meaning it was easier to secure the top of the boards, so we went to Celarus. Do we talk to the other side and arrange to yield keeps? No. While we log off when we secure emp, to speed up the process, we can't talk to AD on the other side because most of us are on their ignores lol (because our guild trolled them hard on their home server when they would come to our old server to farm us with full emp/keep/etc buffs as soon as we lost them), in fact I'm surprised they haven't put up a bigger resistance when we do log on and take emp.

Did we cause this? I don't think so, but then again, with what we're doing -- pushing emp and then logging off (as its out of our raid times), I don't see a problem with it. I also don't see a problem with others doing the same thing; this is what Zenimax designed and intended to happen. The problem is, as time passes and smaller campaigns have more emps, people get but-hurt and start crying wolf hoping that zenimax will make them "special" and make what they have gained harder to earn. MMO's don't do this, they generally make things incredibly easier. While I disagree with carebearing the whole game, If they can't tolerate this or cope with it, then they should consider playing another genre of games. Skyrim is still playable.

Not sure who is involved, but doesn't matter. I've seen a large group sit on the outer walls of a keep, let a faction take over the keep. The keep turns gets emperor, other faction leaves without repairing and then the group comes in and takes back the keep. Hear in zone chat don't repair, don't hit the other group, don't defend...we all know the picture. Naming and shaming isn't necessary, it is about the abuses of the system in place and the rewards for those abuses.

That is something ZOS can change.

The only thing that the Divine Reapers are guilty of, is being better at the game than yourselves. In all honesty, come in TS and see how an organized guild works, and how we earn that emp. You don't gain AP by standing around with your finger in your arse. We strategically move as a whole, and when this happens, the points roll in and we dominate the leader board. There's nothing wrong with being smart, nor is there anything wrong with wanting the strongest possible guild.

P.S Divine Reapers recruiting VR6+, must have TeamSpeak and be able to follow orders.

Back on topic... I think it's a great strategy. If people have their knickers in that much of a knot then please, humor me, what do we do that you do not? Other than having the top 10 on lock-down.

Emperor Farming should have been clamped down on as soon as it reared its ugly head. To me the title now tells me a player is a cheat and exploiter, which is a shame for the few who earned it on busy 90 day campaigns.

Solution is simply to deactivate the former emperor passives, just have it as an emperor or nothing line/buff.
