Does the account go into a suspended state and maintain everything stored in the bank and such?? If you come back at a later date, will you character still be there?

Most MMOs when you quit, everything stays just how you left them but beware depending on how long you have been...you might see a name change waiting on one of your characters when you log back in, happened to me with SWTOR and WoW but everything stays in the banks, bags, etc...

If any mail it will probably be lost forever, I am sure it works the same with ESO but I could be wrong.

Yes, atleast for quite awhile. If your gone 2+ years you take the risk of losing it all.

I'm talking about coming back in three or four months for a month to see what changes have been implemented. If I'm gone for a year or more, chances are I've lost all interest.

Your account will still be there in four months ready to re-activate. Zenimax wants your subscription revenue.

Hello, all! Once a player creates an account, all characters created and progress achieved will be saved on that account, and will be available any time there is an active subscription on this account.

Rest assured, characters and accounts will only be deleted by the player themselves or at a player's request.

Good to know, I may have to go this route to save some money down the road.

Thank you for the response ZOS_MichelleA. However, how accounts are handled after cancellation should be detailed somewhere and easy to find. A search should not have to be used. This should be included in your FAQs and pretty close to the top.

The name change only happens when they combine servers because the population was too low.. ESO will never do that, or it would have already happened.

That is the only positive side to the megaserver as far as I can tell. ZOS can hide how badly it is doing.

I expected as much, but having someone say it still does put my mind at ease.
