Tab-Targetting in PvP

Hello Community!

While playing PvP excessively, I have been able to analyze alot of things about the balance in PvP. One major thing is Tab-Targeting.

This feature allows you to "lock" onto a player by hitting the Tab-Key. The lock will not disappear until:
-you are dead
-your target is dead
-you tab-target someone else

Basicly, what this does is that it allows you to keep your focus on a single person to maximize your DPS Output against him (mainly preventing you from accidently hitting another person next to your target).

However, what's really disturbing about this is that it seems to render Sneaking/Invisibility useless in any form. I am not 100% about this, since I can't completely recall the situations from my memory where I've used it myself.

The reason I'm saying this is because I've observed many situations where someone went invisible but a few people of my alliance kept attacking him, although I myself couldn't see him.

There are a few situations where the Tab-Targetting should reset:
-when the Target is out of line of sight (behind walls, trees, etc.)
-when the Target enters sneak
-when the target goes invisible alltogether

I understand that some of you would not want to give up on this feature, but this is a very hard counter against people who have to use invisibility to be useful (mainly NB). This feature is free, which means it doesn't cost any kind of resource, yet you basicly "reveal" your target, atleast for yourself, making it similar to some kind of skill.

One possible solution would be to break the tab-targetting when someone goes invisible, but lock him again as soon as he is visible again. Also, tab-targetting could break 5 seconds after someone went behind an obstacle.

Yes, I am a Nightblade and I created this thread because it's devastating for my and any other's NB PvP gameplay. For PvE, this feature is very useful and appreciated.

I appreciate any constructive comment and information about this feature.

Greetings
Narakuvera

Ive always had my tab target disappear when a target went invis however.if Im moused over the target they cannot go invis until they go behind a tree or whatever...so..if I see you and have my attention set on you..that's probably why
you can be seen..not because of tab target.

Tab target lock disappears if the person you are targeting goes into sneak, uses an invisibility potion or is a Nightblade and uses Shadow Cloak.
The exception to this is if someone is tagged with Piercing Mark (which lets me see stealthed or invisible players.)

Detection potions also render shadow cloak and invis potions useless. Whenever facing a NB, I use a Pancea of Detection that restores magicka, increases spell damage, and makes all hidden targets within 20m visible for 10 seconds. Incredibly OP potion I must say.
