Yes, they are kidding.
And they are targeting YOU specifically.
They watch you sleep at night. They know what will upset you, they beam radio-waves directly from their Satanic microwaves into your teeth at night! BETTER WEAR YOUR TINFOIL HAT!
AHAHAHAHAHA!
. As it stands now, this game is not even "Skyrim online" as some people have termed it.
Ruze is a veteran of the PC Beta, lived through the year one drought, survived the buy-to-play conversion, and has stepped foot in the hells known as Craglorn. He mained a nightlbade when nightblades weren't good, and has never worn a robe. He converted from PC during the console betas, and hasn't regretted it a moment since.
He'd rank ESO:TU (in it's current state) a 4.8 out of 5, loving the game almost entirely.
Thanks. That wall of text pissed off one of professors, and she just gave me an F on my end of term paper.
On topic: no developer can put everything into s game at once, things have to be sacraficed. As much as I would like to see the Thieves Guild RIGHT NOW, I feel that it should wait so that they can do it properly and not half-ass it.
My 2.15 cents.

First, wanted to say i like the game quite a bit, through all of its faults.
That said, your argument loses a lot of steam when applied to the way ZOS is currently doing things. I just can't believe that TG and DB content will be implemented in any other way than 'half-ass'ed when it finally shows up. And if content being seriously borked upon releases is more than likely, as it is now, why delay content the majority of ppl are looking for(and were told would be added not long after launch-months wait was implied, not years) for over a year while pushing content that introduces as many problems as it solves?

You make some good points and i agree with you but if you want to put your point across more effectively, you need to start using paragraphsThe dark brotherhood and the thieves guild are integral to the storyline of the entire Tamrielic story. I was miffed when they did not include Skyrim in the continent of Tamriel (except for Riften and Windhelm in the lands available). How do you release a game that the entire gameplay area of Elder Scrolls is not available and call it such. Now they are adding "verteran content" and more "dungeons" and VR 12 without adding two of the guilds that should have been available from the start. By the time they are available I will have already played through the main storyline and forgotten about the king of whosawhatsa and the internal politics of each kingdom whereas the thieves guild and the dark brotherhood will more than likely play a huge part in these events. When it finally is implemented they are going to have a huge number of VR players going through a questline meant to top out at level 50 of so as does the mages guild and fighters guild lines. How can it be any different? Getting the basic storyline in the game going is much more important than some VR dungeon or new VR ranks. They do not need a "justice system" in order to play through those questlines. They just need to add new quests to those guilds when that "system" becomes available. If the game was not ready for release they should not have released it. As it stands now, this game is not even "Skyrim online" as some people have termed it. It is a regular MMO with a few new things, but I would rather play Oblivion or Skyrim to experience the Elder Scrolls saga (because that is the storyline). Adding new quests to guilds I do not have a problem with, but not even putting the guilds in the game I do have a problem with. Terming this game as Elder Scrolls online right now is tantamount to false advertising to those of us who have followed the Elder Scrolls saga. They need to scrap any VR upgrades they are working on and make this an Elder Scrolls game pronto otherwise people are gonna get more pissed than they already are about the normal bugs and such that come with a new MMO.

I know that I want to see those guilds.
But ESO lacks a lot of other things I more easily associate with Elder Scrolls. Like player housing, arena's
The thieves guild and dark brotherhood are going to be added soon, dont get your panties in a bundle about it.
As for areas of the game that are explorable - every single ES game in the past has allowed the player to explore a different part of tamriel. We had the island of vvardenfell in morrowind, we had cyrodiil in oblivion, we had skyrim in skyrim.
ESO gives us areas we've never seen before - the alikr desert, daggerfall, parts of blackmarsh, elsweyr, and the summerset isles, and even the vast majority of valenwood.
Eventually the other areas of tamriel will be added, but if they had put 100% of the landmass into the game at launch they would have had nowhere to add additional content.

My prediction is we’ll probably get the Justice System in before we get the Thieves Guild and Dark Brotherhood in, just because we want that system to be fully fleshed out and players used to the system before they have to use it.
