Chrysamere NA Guesting

Ok I'm going QQ for a hot second. I think 3 days straight of guesting by DC is just stupid. We have the same 20 people in EP that play every single day. It's true we play at all hours and not just prime time. That's by design. We recruited people in all different time zones so we could always have a presence. But I'm tired of fighting suru and boomhawa 3 days in a row when neither of them belong here. They are great players and the fights are fun but they don't belong here long term. You want to guest them to overthrow an emperor, I'm fine with that. I didn't cry when they cut my reign short. But I'm starting to get sick of seeing them as regulars. We don't guest because I think it ruins the balance. I'd like to have a legitimate shot of taking keeps without gimmicks like guesting. Maybe i am overreacting and everyone else likes the concept of guesting. I find it a negative toward our community. I welcome thoughts on this discussion.

You can't be talking about late last night, can you? You guys outnumbered us something like 20 to 6! I don't PVP that much, so I really have no idea who is a guest and who is a regular on our server. But even if the other 5 were all guests, I don't think guesting was the problem.

(If you're not talking about late hours last night, then I have no idea what I'm talking about and will just be over there in the corner.)

Guesting is a good thing, my home is Wabbajack and some nights the lag is sooooo bad or its full and you cant get it or it crashes. So then what? Find another server and guest.

have you ever thought wabbajack lags because of incoming guesters?..Get rid of guesting..I bet you get rid of the lag. THEN you wont need to leave wabbajack now will you?

You do know that the guesting problem is adding to the lag, right?

Guesting is a necessary function. "Nothing going on in my PvP server, guess I'll just log off..." , no one would be happy with that. I feel like it balances itself out in the long run: if they're not on their home server. they're leaving it unprotected, other alliances notice that, guesters return. As for them "not belonging" because it's not their home server, what difference does it make? If they want to play on a particular campaign then they'll play on a particular campaign, why does it matter if it's not their home server? Sorry, but it sounds like you're just upset you're occasionally outnumbered (even with them, most of the time you guys still have more). As you've said, you "recruited" players to the campaign. How is that any different from what we've done? You're arguing semantics. EP's outnumbered DC for awhile now, now we're starting to get somewhat even numbers again - that's a good thing.

I'm glad to have more numbers on the server. When I want pvp, I want to fight players, not npcs.

Aren't you the one that asked some AD to guest over last week, or was that just some amazing coincident that when you couldn't pry our keeps away from us that 2 AD guilds suddenly appeared and attacked us, instead of the faction that controlled all their keeps and scrolls.

We cant spam our mages on your bodies anymore so we have to guest.

I do understand you are frustrated, I really do. However, I remember going into the server to find EP farming/camping DC by the gates. It wasn't just one day, or two days, it was much more. I'm not saying it was you personally, but really? You were crushing the DC on Chrysamere, if I recall correctly, because DC was severely outnumbered. Now, there is competition, and I get the feeling you are unhappy because you haven't "beaten us" yet.

It's all fun and games until your side isn't winning/doesn't have emperor anymore. We will do our best to keep emperor as does any other faction when they are fighting in their respected servers.

To the statement: They don't belong on Chrysamere, I do not agree with it. Don't you have a home and a guest server as well? I belong on both my home and guest, thank you. I will continue to fight because its for my alliance and my guest server.

I'm also glad to have more people in the campaign, it really does need more players. The more the merrier. Like serene said above me, this is their guest server, so they do belong here. Chrysamere should be good hosts and show them some good PvP.

anyway, back to OP:

The DC pop has declined on Chrysamere i mean it is really silly. We chased the guidl that farmed EP at the gates out of the server, and then many left due to crappy pvp or boredom...not to mention AD is GONE There are like 2-6 AD on the server at a given time.. and you are complaining about guesting? If anything, AD deserves to guest in people too.

Is it wrong that another guild has this set as their guest? We help them out, they help us out. That's how alliances work. I would guest into their server at any time to slam my body against the enemy, since they are my ally.

I'm actually going to call myself a hypocrit as I stand corrected on guesting. I was reading the thread about Celarus emperor farming and I just find that to be sad and pathetic. Those people over there that actually want to pvp are being called trolls and noobs for disrupting the farm process. @serenenightmare‌ we should organize a skirmish and guest into Celarus. It would be hilarious to disrupt the emperor farming going on over there and just tell those crumbs to get bent. I'd be happy to ask Rockfighters to go in there and tear some stuff up. What are your thoughts on this emperor farming thing? I think it's a slap in the face to anyone who earned it. And make no mistake about it, I earned mine solely because I have a great group of guildies that helped me.

I left Celarus in large part because of this lame Emp swapping. I wouldn't mind guesting back to help sabotage it. I'll look you up in-game.

guesting in to a server to stop emp swapping is actually just as legitimate a reason to guest into a server that has 1 faction owning every single keep
